Quick recap. Thanks to Tian Jing Zhi (Wu Qian) getting into a car accident and her blood brings Xue Ling Qiao (Kim Tae Hwan) back from the dead. The police, as well as the research facility that Ling Qiao was supposed to be brought to, are looking for the now missing body. Jing Zhi is desperate to change her luck so she tries to rent a room which Ling Qiao takes, she tries to get rid of him with no success so they are now living together, much to Jing Zhi’s discomfort.

So this episode starts right where we left off last episode with Jing Zhi sleeping on the couch and Ling Qiao leaving her there. We cut quickly to the bad guys ( I really need to find a better name for them) and the audience finds out that they are setting Ling Qiao up with painting so they can trap him.

The next morning Ling Qiao wakes up to find Jing Zhi laying her head on his chest, which he states is not open to the public. Jing Zhi mentions that she finally figures out where the additional heart rate is coming from and it’s his chest. Ling Qiao advises her that since she’s the one who brought him back to life that their hearts always beat at the same rate and he can always tell if her heart beat changes for any reason. They test how far it takes before they can’t feel eachother anymore which is about 1km. Jing Zhi tries to trick Ling Qiao as to get rid of him, however she forgets about his super speed.

Dong Dong get summoned to Jing Zhi’s parents house, and at first he is worried that she is being blackmailed since she is having a hard time with her money. Jing Zhi’s parents want him to spy on their daughter, which he is instant that he can’t because if she finds out he would be skinned alive, however he eventually agrees when they hand him a bunch of money.

Jing Zhi and Zhang Xuan Xuan (Shen Meng Chen) are on set when Xuan Xuan asks Jing Zhi about the roommate, which she says she’s given up on the idea. Xuan Xuan jokes about how she would have to have an immortal pet to make that work, and she thinks about Ling Qiao counted. Professor Li comes to visit Jing Zhi since she was shooting on campus and he tells her how he’s worried that she may experience some side effects from the car crash and wanted to take a blood sample to make sure she’s ok. She refuses stating that she needed to work.

Liao Zhi ease drops on Jing Zhi’s parents conversation about her love life and how they aren’t asking for much in the way of a husband for her. They also agree that the next boyfriend they will not let them break up no matter what.

Li Yan Zhi  (Fu Jia) and Ye Chen discusses how there is currently no evidence that sabotage caused the car accident the Jing Zhi was in.Yan Zhi asks Chen to find out which other research facilities might be interested in the body. Chen agrees to it but advises him that it will take some time, at this point Yan Zhi gets a nose bleed and goes a separate way from Chen.

Xuan Xuan was walking to her car when her heel gets stuck in the ground in front of her fan so she leans against the car while signing autographs for her fans while trying to discreetly remove her heels from the ground. Turns out that the car belongs too Chen and he asks her to move. She recognizes him right away and tells everyone that they have plans to go to dinner together. Chen makes it seem like they are more than friends and his students get the message and leave them alone. Xuan Xuan removes his arm from her waist and he asks her how she knew his name, which she reminds him that he used to pick up Jing Zhi from the studio.

Chen helps Xuan Xuan un-stick her heel right before Yan Zhi shows up. She calls Chen a pervert for touching her waist, however he fires back that he also touched her heels. Yan Zhi automatically assumes that she kicked him, which she obviously denies.

Ling Qiao tries to make rice porridge, but ends up making it way to salty much to Jing Zhi’s dismay. She gets mad at him because of how much salt he put in the porriage, but she stops half way through saying Yan Zhi’s name and he mood suddenly dropped and she just told him to remeber to washs the dishes.

Ling Qiao gets a picture of a painting of him from 400 years ago and they make a plan to meet the next day. Obviously they bad guys are planing to trap him in some way.

The next morning Jing Zhi finds Ling Qiao trying to cook again, and she teases him that he should be ashamed that he doesn’t know how to cook after being a live for 400 years. He retorts that it doesn’t matter that he doesn’t know how to cook since he isn’t a chief, but instead she’s an actress who can’t act. Jing Zhi asks about his plans for the day, and he tells her that he is going to that meeting for the painting.

So the next little bit happens simultaneously so I’m going to focus on one arch at a time instead of jumping back and forth, starting with Ling Qiao.

ling Qiao goes to an obviously empty office building that seems to still be under construction, like you do while meeting with shady people. He walks through the construction zone and reaches the office section of the building, which is still empty. Ling Qiao calls for the elevator and gets in, however right when the doors close he feels that something is off with Jing Zhi because his heart starts beating erratically. He presses the doors open bottom and then find himself trapped in the elevator. A large heavy comes down and gas starts to pour into the elevator cooling the temperature. He tries to open the door but his powers fade when he gets to cold. He knows that the bad guys can see him through the camera so he breaks it before sitting down. I must say though even frozen he looks good.

Screenshot 2016-04-29 15.26.04.png

Meanwhile, Jing Zhi is on set when she feels Ling Qiao’s heart beat, she is terrified that he has come to ridicule her acting abilities on set she puts her all into it. However while they are filming the scene, the prop knife that was supposed to be used was swapped out for a real knife while cuts her. (Hence the irregular heart beat) Jing Zhi gets her hand taken care of a the nearest clinic, but thankfully it wasn’t a deep cut. She gets sent home to rest and while she’s leaving she feels Ling Qiao’s heart rate become erratic and she tries not to worry about and head straight home.

She sits at home and starts worrying about Ling Qiao since he didn’t come home. She stated making up situations in her head about what could have happened. Jing Zhi believes that due to is nivaty he fell into a trap and she wants to go and make fun of him.

Once Jing Zhi gets closer to Ling Qiao’s location she notices that his heart beat has become even more irregular and she really starts to worry.  She tries calling him but his phone is unavailable and she starts to believe that he is stuck in an elevator. (awfully accurate) She is worried that the enemy has trapped Ling Qiao in there. She can tell that the building is closed to the public but she ‘sneaks’ in the backdoor.

Once Jing Zhi gets to the elevator she calls out for him, but due to his semi frozen state it takes some time for him to answer. She grabs the fire axe and pries it under the door and even though it hurt, she managed to open the door a little which allowed the collant to start pooring out of the elevator. She finds out that Ling Qiao is terribly sensitive to the cold and he can’t use his powers when he’s cold. So she rounds up so fire and starts a fire in a plastic bucket, because that’ll totally not melt.

Other than the plastic bucket idea I likes this episode’s story arche, I am looking forward to when I’m caught up though so that I can only type one of these recaps a day. Well I’ll see you tomorrow for 2 more posts.

Jing Zhi is desperate to change her luck so she tries to rent a room which Ling Qiao takes, she tries to get ride of him with no success so they are now living together.

We open this episode with Jing Zhi heading home late from a shoot, when Li Yan Zhi (Fu Jia) shows up and offers her his car since it’s dangerous to be driving around on a scooter. She lends him her scooter to get himself home. When she gets into the car she sees the good luck charm that she gave him for his new car and we see that Jing Zhi still has feelings for Yan Zhi.

The next morning Feng Dong Dong (Yang Aro) comes by the house with Jing Zhi’s breakfast and meets Ling Qiao. Dong Dong is instantly enthralled with Jing Qiao and you can tell that he finds him very attractive. Jing Zhi comes down stairs in her pjs and he assumes that they had spent the night together. Though she introduces Jing Zhi as her cousin. After staring at him for a while Dong Dong remembers where he’s seen him before and show them the pictures of Jing Zhi in the library and he is known as the library idol.

Dong Dong tells Ling Qiao that if he needs anything just to let him know, though Jing Zhi start to get jealous of the attention that he is receiving. Ling Qiao searches himself online and is disturbed by some of the comments left online.

That day Jing Zhi had a photo shoot and an audition for a drama. She completely messed up her audition for the drama and she knows it, but is greeted by Dong Dong outside who had gone out to buy her a box of cherries. When he asks what they are for she simply said that they were for juicing.

Ling Qiao goes back to the ocean to mull things over and to regroup. He goes to the research lab to find out if Professor Li recognized him, but due to his reaction he deemed it unlikely that he was his killed 100 years prior. On his way back he picked up some KFC for Jing Zhi, which prompted her to ask if he had gone out. He said he was going to meet an old friend but he found out it wasn’t him. Jing Zhi teases him, but Ling Qiao tells her that he has lost about 10 – 20 years of his memory.

Jing Zhi notices that he was looking through her photo album that she made with Yan Zhi, which she flips out about. Ling Qiao mentions that while he was looking through the images he could really tell that Yan Zhi really loved her. She takes the album and thanks him for taking it out or else she would have forgotten to throw it out. Jing Qiao, in all of his awkwardness, mentions that if nothing was left she wouldn’t be so angry. In response she leave the room.

A few moments later, Jing Zhi takes the trash out and it spills out on the ground. When she bends down to pick it up she starts looking for the album that she threw out. Ling Qiao squats beside her and hands her back the album that he had gotten out of the trash for her. She hugs the album to her chest and admits to him that she is still in love with Yan Zhi which is what’s making this break up harder than most. Jing Qiao offers to take her flying to cheer her up. He picks her up bridal style and off they go. I don’t know a single woman who would mind that. Well, at the very least I know I wouldn’t mind.

Meanwhile, at the police station Yan Zhi is still looking for clues about the missing body. His partner, Calamary, managed to get Jing Zhi’s medical records and it states That she was barely injured. There is no way that she could have bled enough to produce all of the blood that was covering her. So they decide to go to the hospital to try to retrieve the dress that she was taken to the hospital with.

Dong Dong become infatuated with Ling Qiao, Jing Zhi becomes annoyed and when she asks why Ling Qiao isn’t going to the library anymore Dong Dong chimes in that he has too many fan waiting for him there. Dong Dong then makes an off-handed comment that if Ling Qiao were to enter the entertainment world he would probably be more popular that Jin Zhi, she started chasing him around.

Yan Zhi visits Ye Chen at work and tell him about the discrepancy in the blood pattern. They both come to the conclusion that the rest of the blood must belong to the their, however the dress that Jing Zhi had been wearing has gone missing

That evening Jing Zhi was at home tying to figure out her lines, and when she asks Ling Qiao for his opinion he states that he doesn’t like any of her renditions. She states that he doesn’t know anything since she is an actress and he isn’t, he simply states that she has no talent for it. Jing Zhi notices that Ling Qiao is on his fan website, and he tells her that he’s trying to contact someone who says that he looks a lot like a man in a painting  and he’s hoping that maybe he knew that person’s great-grandfather a 100 years ago.

Jing Zhi finally asks Ling Qiao how he became immortal so he tells her. 400 years ago he was bitten by a leopard and even though the local healer had said that if they keep the wound clean and dry that it’ll heal without any problems, the wound became badly infected. Ling Qiao’s parents called the divine healer to heal him, and when he initially saw the wound her said that there was no way to heal him. Due to the leopard’s bite being venomous and how long Ling Qiao had been in the coma for, the venom has certainly already entered into his organ.

Ling Qiao’s father begs for his help and the divine healer offers only on other thing that they can try. He prescribed arsenic to counter act the leopard’s venom, and a strict diet of ginseng soup to keep him a live. His parents agreed to try their last hope, and ordered their servants to get the ingredient.

For the next 3 days the devine healer bleed Ling Qiao of 1 pot of blood a day. On day 2 Ling Qiao wakes up and can only stomach gensing soup and not any normal food. Though after the 3 days he his back up and walking again, however rumors start to circulate around town that he has turned into a monster. He notices his augmented hearing when he goes in town for a walk when he can over hear peoples conversation that his servant can’t.

The define healer comes to check on his wounds, and when he asks him how he’s feeling his mother tells the healer that he hasn’t eaten anything since the treatment. He tells her there is nothing to worry about and everything will even it’s self out given some time. However once he unwraps Ling Qiao’s arms he notices that the wound is completely healed, which is odd because it’s only been 3 days. The divine healer takes up a knife and cuts his arm, but it heals right away. (REALLY bad effects right here, just a warning) Every body is shocked at this. Ling Qiao then spends a good length of time repeatedly cut himself and watching it heal.

A mob of villagers came to their home to run him out and he hears them coming. He goes to his parents and apologizes about having to leave them, but he swears to find a cure for his illness. His mother gives him the jade plaque and he leaves.

We bounce back to present day where Jing Zhi has fallen asleep while Ling Qiao told his story. He leaves her be and heads to bed.

Even with all of the cheesy special effects I absolutely love this drama still. *gives it huge thumbs up*

I did warn you guys. Don’t worry this in only for the next few days, I’m just glad I have speech to text or else my tennis elbow would really be acting up.

Quick recap. Thanks to Tian Jing Zhi (Wu Qian) getting into a car accident and her blood brings Xue Ling Qiao (Kim Tae Hwan) back from the dead. The police, as well as the research facility that Ling Qiao was suppose to be brought to, are looking for the now missing body.

We open the show with Jing Zhi waiting for her show to start when the show’s assistant Feng Dong Dong (Aro Yang) comes in with her ice coffee and tells her that there is still 20 minutes until the show starts. She tells him about her dream about zombies knocking on her door every night, which he then tell her not to worry since dead people can’t knock. Also since she’s the second leading lady something like that would never happen to her.

There is a knock on the door and Zhang Xuan Xuan (Shen Meng Chen) comes to see Jing Zhi in the dressing room. Dong Dong gets kicked out of the room and while he is trying to get back into the room, worried the the two actresses would be getting into a fight, you find out that they have a reputation of hating each other, but the opposite is true, they’re actually friends.

Xuan Xuan starts yelling at Jing Zhi about how she stole her rose a month ago for her proposal that blew up spectacularly in her face. She had warned Jing Zhi that she doesn’t have the marriage line on her hand and she shouldn’t try and get married. Jing Zhi pushes back stating that she doesn’t believe in those type of things and she won’t stop trying. Xuan Xuan told her that she will take her to see her fortune teller after the show is finished filming.

Even though she doesn’t want to go Xuan Xuan takes Jing Zhi anyways. The fortune teller tells her that she was born with doom and horrible lucky, and though everything should be perfect she struggles constantly in her life. She points out that nothing but good things have happened since her accident and he points out that it’s probably just the eye of the storm and things are about to get a lot worse. The fortune teller tells her that she must find someone tougher than her to share her bad luck if there is any chance to change her destiny. Jing Zhi glares at him causing him to fall backward and one of his vases falls on his head. Before he passes out however her tells her that she is dooms.

Jing Zhi tries to take his advice and in hopes to try and find a person that meets his requirements she puts a room in her house up for rent, with the stipulation that she wants to see the renter’s horoscope.

Ling Qiao goes to visit his home, a late Qing Dynasty mansion that has since turned into an exhibit. He goes to the sea looking for something which he finds however it is just described as “an unknown object”. He starts to talk to it and explains how he lost about 10 – 20 years of his memory and he’s been looking for clues. He has found some clues with the people Li Yan Zhi (Fu Jia) and Ye Chan who are both linked to Jing Zhi. He is determined to form an alliance with her so that he can get close to the two men, and since she has such bad luck he is worried that if something happens to her that something will then happen to him.

Jing Zhi gets a lot of phone calls about her room for rent but Xuan Xuan refuses all of the applications, and since Ling Qiao was keeping tabs on her he finds her ad so he goes to visit her. Jing Zhi refuses to let him enter, and when she gets to her bedroom she finds him already there watching One Piece on her Ipad. While she looks at him she recognizes him from the previous night before Ye Chan showed up. She tries to run but she trips on the stairs and thanks to his speed he catches her. He mentions that if he wanted to kill her she wouldn’t be able to run. He tells her, that he is simply looking for a place to stay, and she places him at the crash site and links him with being the missing body that the police are looking for.

We are then graced with another flashback, I’m start to sense a theme here. Ling Qiao stands over her as she is dying and he kneels next to her and begins to talk with her. He confesses that he is uncertain if he should save her even though she had resurrected her. The truck driver came across the crash and asked if she was still alive, Ling Qiao admitted that she was however she wouldn’t last long. He decided to save her in that instant and bit his lip and fed her some of his blood to help her heal. Let use all be honest though who wouldn’t want to kiss this man.

Screenshot 2016-04-28 23.44.28.png

Back to present day, Jing Zhi asks Ling Qiao “What are you?” and he responds that he is the devil, and of course she doesn’t believe him. He admits that he is human but due to an incident 400 years prior he became immortal. She does more linking, and places him at the hospital with the sewer incident.

We get to the ‘see’ the bad guys for the first time. The ‘head’ bad guy gets his employee to look into Jing Zhi’s hospital stay and found out that no medical treatment was given to get. They also found Ling Qiao’s fake id due to him being unable to give up his original name. The main bad guy is the person who killed him 100 years ago.

Jing Zhi shows Ling Qiao to his room and he requests for her to get him an apple laptop. She questions him on how he knows how to use the computer, and he tells her that a month is plenty of time to become accustomed to the modern times. In the middle of their conversation she remember that Chan and Yan Zhi are both running around trying to find a body that was currently lodging in her house and she started laughing hysterically.

She still treats Ling Qiao like a monster and tries to get rid of him using Garlic, a wooden sword and water, all of which obviously fail.

We get to briefly meets Xuan Xuan’s fiancé Hong Shi Guan ( Lin Xin Liang) and we, the audience, find out that their engagement is a lie. Shi Guan admits that he has always wanted to meet Jing Zhi and Xuan Xuan invites him to the studio to meet her.

While Ling Qiao is at the library he finds out that the computers and the video surveillance systems have been hacked.

Jing Zhi goes to record her show and gets an odd caller on the air. After the show she starts tearing into Dong Dong however since he just lost his job he doesn’t have the energy to explain his mistake to her. Since he just lost his job he begs her to become her assistant for only 2000$ a month, and she agrees.

The last scene of the show is that of the head of the research lab writing down that Jing Zhi’s wounds were completely healed and that sleeping beauty (Ling Qiao) is alive.

I’m just going to throw this out there but I believe Shi Guang is the bad guy from 100 years ago, but it’s just a guess at this point. I’m still loving this show!

My Amazing Boyfriend Episode 1 Recap

Standard

4910_MyAmazingBoyfriend_Nowplay_Small

I’m going to preemptively apologize to all those who are subscribed to have my posts emailed to you… I have discovered My Amazing boyfriend and it’s coming out 7 episodes a week for 28 days, and I’m going to recap them. Due to me starting late, over the next few days you will be getting 2 posts about this a day and then it’ll drop down to one in the evening about the previous days drama because lets be honest I need some time to type them up. So let’s begin!

The series starts with a real promising opening Tian Jing Zhi (Wu Qian) is lying in the middle of the road after an apparent car crash. Due to her extensive wounds, her blood seeps out onto the road and makes it’s way to a mummified hand. Due to the blood Xue Ling Qiao (Kim Tae Hwan) comes back to like. A truck driver stops and asks Ling Qiao if Jing Zhi is still alive, he answer that she is but not for much longer. The emergency services come and take Jing Zhi to the hospital while Ling Qiao watched from the shadows.

We have a little quick flash into Ling Qiao’s background and the audience finds out that he is 400 years old he never get sick, hurt, he never ages or dies. So he is effectively immortal. We also find out that someone, whom Ling Qiao can’t remember, drained his blood, placed him in a sealed coffin and threw him to the bottom of the ocean in the hopes of killing him. Luck has it that the assailant failed.

The episode then back ups to before accident happens. Ling Qiao, still in his mummified state, is on display at a museum with the cause of his death being exsanguination due to his throat being slashed. His body is later being transported to a research facility that he was being lent to by the museum.

At the same time, Jing Zhi was standing on the edge of the roof thinking about jumping however the building security guard comes and talks with her. He comes to ask her if she’s really going to jump this time because she comes to do this often. She tell him how she proposed to her boyfriend and he rejected her because he fell in love with her childhood friend. She then tells him that her childhood friend has stolen all 7 of her boyfriends. At this point the security guard is agreeing that she should jump because she has such back luck. She flips out on him and decides not to jump, yet again.

On the way home Ling Zhi gets into the accident because while throwing her roses into the back seat her car crept into the intersection and the other truck t-boned her car.

The show jumps the Ling Qiao’s inner monologue of trying to find out who ‘killed’ him. He steals a poor farmer’s clothes from the clothesline and goes to the city. Once he arrives he sees the new covering of Jing Zhi’s accident and with clues around him, he finds out that he’s been asleep for about 100 years.

Jing Zhi extended her hospital stay for a month even though she had only sustained a minor wound. He mother comes to visit her and agrees that she should leave the hospital. Jing Zhi states that since the picture in the newspaper was so bad that she should stay at the hospital for at least 3 months. Her mother then reminds her of all of the negative omens that she got before Jing Zhi was born that predicted her terrible luck.

That night Ling Qiao visits Jing Zhi in the hospital to try and figure out why their heart beats match, and why her can feel her heart beat. Jing Zhi wakes up with a start and the nurses just brush her seeing him as a nightmare and tell her not to worry. The next day however she sneaks out of the hospital to try and get some cake. Since all of her fans are waiting for her at the entrance of the hospital she sneaks out the back however she falls into a sewer right before she can climb up that wall.

Jing Zhi starts calling for help and Ling Qiao answers, while she’s begging him to help her out, he agrees if she answers a few simple questions. 1: “Does she believe in immortality?” Which she gives a non-answer to, and 2: “Would she want to be immortal?” which she answers no. During this conversation she thinks that he’s a patient from the psych-ward. He tell her to close her eyes and count down from 5. he jumps down and gets her out of the sewer and she then freaks out.

Out of this entire season I have 2 questions: What is with her fashion sense and why was he hanging out in a tree?

Screenshot 2016-04-28 14.57.30Screenshot 2016-04-28 15.13.25

Ling Qiao goes to a temple, sadly I don’t know which one, and jumps onto the roof to get his hidden gold.

Jing Zhi is discharged from the hospital and while trying to make a quiet exit she is ambushed with a press conference, where she finds out that there was a weirdo that kissed her at the scene of the accident. Since she was never told this tim bit of information she kinda flipped out. She then gets home from the hospital and asks her mother why she wasn’t told about the kiss, which she answered, “It was in the newspaper but you refused to read it.”

Ling Qiao starts going to the library and started researching stem cells and the research facility that his body was being transported to. He goes to the laboratory to try and find out the reason behind the research that they are doing and why they needed him. He didn’t find out but he did find a picture of him while he was asleep and he compares it to himself to find out he is quite good looking.

After her bath, Jing Zhi looks at her credit card bill and finds out that she paid not only for the hospital bill but also the repairs to her car since the insurance wouldn’t pay, and instead of taking time off work like she had planned she went back to her house to plan for work. He ex-boyfriend, Li Yan Zhi (Fu Jai) came to her home to wait for her to ask for her forgiveness. They have a fight where he asked her to hit him which she refuses. She does however close the door on him which breaks his nose. Though due to him being a police officer he also needed to speak with her about the accident since they are still trying to track down the missing body.

Later that evening her doorbell rang for no apparent reason, so she goes to investigate. However while she is outside her heart starts to pound loudly again and she goes out in front of her house where she sees Ling Qiao standing under a street lamp. He has his hand over his heart because of the beating and she also places her hand over her heart. She realizes how handsome he is but as soon as a car drives past him he’s gone.

Ye Chan, Ex-boyfriend number 6, gets out of the car and Jing Zhi tells him about the man and how he disappeared after he drove past him. Ya Chan starts asking Jing Zhi about her accident and if she can remember anything. He tells her about the missing body and how his research facility is in trouble if they can’t find the body. He passed her a picture of the body that was taken while still at the museum, and while looking at the picture she sees it’s eyes open. She freaks out and tell him to leave and if he has any other question to go to the police because she refuses to get caught up his problem.

After Chan leaves he calls Yan Zhi and tells him about how he is worried about Jing Zhi’s safety and even though she knows nothing about the missing body, if any other research facility finds out how unique the body was she could be in some serious trouble. Ling Qiao over hears the phone conversations for the trees he hid himself in when Ye Chan arrived.

So that is the first episode. I will warn you, the special effects are crappy. The show feels very campy. I love it, however it may annoy people so I just want to warn you peeps about it before you start watching it to find out you can’t stand campy effects.

Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou ii desu kara

Before:

I have two words for the summary of this anime Magical Girl. This does seem to be a magical girl anime. Her outfit, according to the summary, is a bathing suit. The art style appears to be very shoujo, and it seems to be aimed towards girls. There are few magical girl animes that I like but I’m will to try this.

This anime is a short anime, with the episodes only running for 4 minutes at a time. It thankfully gives an explanation as to why the parents aren’t around, her father works 21 hrs a day every day apparently. I can’t really say anything good or bad about the anime. It is a standard magical girl anime. you have the magical girl costume, with the magical creature that leads the girl through learning about her powers.

Since the episodes are short, only watching two really doesn’t give you much insight into the anime.

Now:

This anime is based off of a manga series by the same name. I couldn’t find any information about the anime series, however the anime series does have 12 episodes, each with a run time of 4 minutes.

The best way I can describe this anime is as a very boring slice-of-life anime surrounding a magical girl with no enemies to fight. The main character, Yuzuka Hanami, saves Milton, the magical companion, from death by starvation. As thanks he turns her into a magical girl, only thing is that she doesn’t want to be a magical girl, she just wants to be a regular girl. Oh yeah and she hates her magical girl outfit, which is a bikini.

This anime has no plot and no goal. So unless you really like magical girl animes I would suggest to steer clear of this anime.

One More Happy Ending

This drama is the definition of a romantic comedy.  This series is 16 episodes long, and each runs about an hour. This drama is light and quirky, and filled with WTF situations that are normally fueled with alcohol.

The drama follows a group of 4 friends, Han Mi Mo (Jang Na Ra), Baek Da Jung (You Da In), Go Dong Mi (Yoo In Na) and Hong Ae Ran (Seo In Young), and their love lives. These women had all debut with an all-girl K-pop group, Angels, in the younger years but the group has since disbanded.  Though Han Mi Mo and Baek Da Jung are CEOs of a remarriage matchmaking company, both of them are not doing well in the romance department. Han Mi Mo was divorced 5 years before the series start, and breaks up with in the first episode, while Baek Da Jung is in a failing marriage. Go Dong Mi is a forever single elementary school teacher, while Hong Ae Ran is about to enter into a marriage that she’s not sure she wants to be in.

Now this drama has a couple of tropes that I love, we have the classic love triangle, the childhood friend, the con artist, and characters disappearing for an extended period of time. I can understand how some of these tropes can be over used and not something that some people like, however there are a few tropes I enjoy. They are all used properly and at the right times to really help the story move forward.

This drama is getting full marks, because not only is the acting on point, but the story is cute and the backgrounds are fantastic as well. Even though there are 4 different couples, you really get a feel for each of them. Though I was looking forward to every time I could see Song Soo Hyuk (Jung Kyoung Ho) because I fell in love with him.

5/5

Crane Game Girls

So this anime has a weird premise, there is a cloud of asteroids that are heading towards earth and they only people who can save the world are 3 kids who want to become idols. So under the pretense of scouting them the crane organization tells them that they will help them become idols. However they train them to play crane games, under the pretense that all top idols are good at crane games… and they just go along with it. Oh and when they all manage to do the same ‘technique’ while playing the crane game at the same times it destroys or moves some asteroids… I must say this may be one of the weirder animes.

I’m not a fan of the art style, it’s not fluid at all and very choppy. Also the characters are drawn too angular with thick lines. Not the prettiest animation, but if you can get over it there is an interesting story in this short anime.

Flying Witch

This anime seems to follow Makoto Kowata, a young witch, as she moves in with her cousin Kei and starts going to his high school. From the first episode it looks like it’s going to be a really quirky slice of life anime. Makoto is a little of a flake who is horrible with directions so she is always being lead around her new town as to not get lost.

I’m actually really excited about this anime, I think it’s going to be a fun little anime to watch.

Haven’t you Heard? I’m Sakamoto

I have 2 words for this show. Absolutely Ridiculous. This slice-of-life anime follows Sakamoto-kun, he’s the school’s prince basically. He is cool, stylish, smart and good at sports. All of the girl love him and a lot of the boys respect him, however there is a small factions of guys who dislike him and try to trap him with pranks to make him look ridiculous. Though no matter what they try he keeps coming out of it looking even better than before

This anime isn’t really something you want if you want a clear story line, or an actual point. Though it is hilarious and I had to pause it a few times because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t read the subtitles.

High School Fleet

So I seem to be hitting really weird animes, or at least what I would consider strange. This anime follows Akeno during her adventure of becoming a blue mermaid, which is basically an all female navy fleet. She becomes the captain of her ship and she must grow and help her crew mates succeed.

It almost watches like a slice of life anime in high school, if high school was on a ship and everyone was learning to be sailors. I’m not sure how I feel about this anime, only time will tell.
