This is another short anime about a middle-schooler who is also a landlord of an apartment building. It is a slice-of-life comedy that includes everyone from the apartment complex. Sadly with only 6 mins of footage is hard to really review it. I find it quite funny and fast paced.
The animation is fluid and flows nicely. The colours are bright and cheerful which matches well with the style of the anime. It’s drawn in a very shojou anime, though I would say it’s not for young children due to some of the joke in the anime.
Ooya-san wa Shishunki! also known as Landlord is in Puberty! This anime is based off of a manga of the same name. There are 12 episodes all running about 2 mins a piece, and there are 5 volumes in the manga series with more to come.
This anime series follows Maeda, a young man, who moves into his first apartment to find out his landlord is a middle school girl,Chie Satonaka. She does all of the cooking and the cleaning so she presents herself almost as a grandmotherly figure. However she struggles to fit in at school, because she does not have the same interest as a lot of her classmates.
Through the episodes Maeda and Reiko, his neighbour, try and help Chie live a normal life as a middle schooler. Doing things like teaching her how to make a bento and even buying her a kimono.
The anime is quick, fun and quirky. The series only runs about 30 mins in total, but it is time well spent. The story doesn’t really progress much but this isn’t the type of anime that people watch for the story, it’s more for the one time story lines and the jokes with in the episodes.
