After last week’s emotional anime, I felt like I should cover something a little lighter. So “I Can’t Understand What my Husband is Saying” A.K.A Danna ga Nani o Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken in japanese, is a funny short anime that will get anybody who is into anime laughing. There is currently 2 seasons with 13 episodes each and there are currently 4 mangas. I will warn you, the manga’s are in a format called 4-koma which is basically 4 panels a page, some people don’t like that style, but I enjoy it.

So this anime is a slice-of-life anime that focuses on Kaoru, a serious office worker, and Hajime, an extreme otaku who almost lives as a hikikomori. They are a married couple with very different personalities and hobbies. Needless to say, some of their conversations are hilarious. If you are an anime aficionado then you will start understanding the jokes more than other watcher’s of the show.

However, regardless of your anime knowledge, all of the jokes can be funny for people who are just starting to watch anime. It’s a light anime that has a lot to offer, and at time it feels like I may have had a conversation or two like the ones that Kaoru and Hajime with a few of my friends.

It’s a quick anime that I would recommend that you pick up if you want a good laugh.
