This is a sequel to Itazura na kiss, based off of the second half of the manga series. Now this doesn’t follow the manga quite as closely, however it makes more sense as a whole better than the manga.

So at the end of season 1, after his marriage to Aihara Kotoko (Miki Honoka), Irie Naoki (Furukawa Yuki) decides to become a doctor. He goes to school and obviously Kotoko decides to follow him by becoming a nurse. Though it’s not easy, Kotoko keeps working hard to become a nurse to stay by Irie’s side. We get to watch Kotoko not only struggle with her school work, but deal with her jealousy towards Irie’s female classmates and be on the receiving end of another romantic offer. We get to see the ups and the downs of the couple’s married life.

The couple do have a few lovey dovey moments in this season, compared to the last one. Kotoko continues to call Naoki but his surname even though she’s married. They did end on a high note, and because I know the manga series, there is a possibility for a 3rd season but I don’t think that it’ll be made. Again I like this series, my friend Natalia, from Soju Nights, won’t agree but I’d say it’s a good watch.
