So after a post-it marriage proposal, Charley tries to dance around giving Reyes an answer. Meanwhile, she gets handed a cold abduction case that’s linked to Reyes, who isn’t willing to open up about it. She also gets forced into finding a person in the witness protection program in 48 hours if she wants to keep her friends alive, and she must save a man’s soul from the devil. Seems like any other day for Charley really.
This book is a solid continuation of the series. I’m a little worried about what will happen in the next few books because series tend to fall flat when the 2 leads hook up. I still love the series and the lore around it is getting deeper as more things are discovered. I’m already starting to guess who the 12 are that are in the legends but I’m going to wait to hold judgment. I’m really loving this series though and I can’t wait to read more.
