So for those who don’t know, I record a podcast about anime and movie reviews that pairs with my blog. Though I know that when I record I’m going to be going through and blocking bots that are going to like my posts. It’s not like 1 or 2 but it can be up to 10. They are very easy to spot see:
I know that I don’t have that many followers or even listeners on my podcast and it really made for me more than anyone else. I love sharing my passion but bots that feed on people’s want for success annoys me.
I would gladly put up podcasts and on one listen to them, but when I see these it bothers me. Almost as much as useless comments. It’s obvious that you didn’t listen to my podcast and you’re a bot when you leave a comment like this:
This was left on my review of Say I Love You, the anime. It’s obvious to most of us here that this is not a song so no, I will not be watching you.
When you’re active on social media and run things like blogs and podcasts. These people/bots are normal but they still annoy me as a person. When I look at my stats, I want to see true demographics and not what these bots add to it. Having 1 listen and 8 likes on a track makes it kind of obvious that something is off. I know that it probably doesn’t affect you guys unless you’re content creators, but as a creator, it’s not cool.
Sorry for ranting at you guys over this, but it’s something on my mind that has been bothering me for a while and since I have an opening in my post schedule I thought I would let you guys into the working of my mind a little. Promise next posts is lighter.
