It’s election year and Bill is running against the current Sherriff. After he turns up dead, Bill is the first person that they accuse of for the murder. Hannah gets roped into the investigation to clear her brother-in-law’s name. Not only that but after Hannah was given a book deal at the end of Blueberry Muffin Murder, she brings together all of Eden Lake to create the cookbook. So she has the mystery of missing ingredients on her hands as well.
This is one of the books that was made into a movie, however, the ending is completely different. I did figure out who the murderer was until Moishe scratches Hannah. If you have watched the movie, the thought of the movie killer is soon removed from your mind as the circumstances of the death is very different. I love the growth in the relationship between Norman and Hannah, at the same time, it looks like Mike is digging himself a hole and hasn’t realised it yet in this book. With being the acting Sherriff and being a little too close to the secretary has Hannah seeing red. I want to point out that she still hasn’t decided who she wants to commit to. This is a fun book, but it seriously make me want to bake again.
