Eva comes to Heather and asks her to look into her best friend’s murder. After all, she’s cleared her own name twice. Heather feeling confident that she can leverage her boyfriend’s, Ryan, knowledge, she agrees to look into it. Now she just needs to find out who would want to kill the sweetest and most loved woman in Hillside, Texas.
My issues with the first 2 books have in been cleared up a little in this book. The progression in the relationship between Ryan and Heather, though fast, works. Heather starts to get a little more into the sleuthing as she isn’t the prime suspect. The characters are starting to get fleshed out even more in this novel, in comparison to the earlier novels. This story had a better flow and I feel like Susan Gillard is starting to hit her stride with the characters. I’m starting to look forward to the next book.
