Every five years a woman goes missing, the police suspect that they are murdered. However, without any bodies, it is anyone’s guess. The serial killer, nicknamed the anniversary killer, is on the prowl again for his latest victim. Given the victim can be any woman within an age bracket with auburn hair, there isn’t much to go on. The police are close on his trail and are determined to track him down before he claims a new victim.

This is a book that I stayed up late with near the end because I really wanted to know what was going to happen. The writing style was fantastic, and there was just enough information to keep us guessing until the end. I did have a suspicion who the killer was early on, however, until right before the abduction I want 100% certain. There were a lot of similarities between the main men in this book that allowed me to flip-flop a little between them.

The only of this book is that we only got to see the cops perspective a few times. Though I loved seeing the victims point of view as well as the murderer’s throughout the book. We don’t really get to see what the police are doing until the end. We have a little debriefing in the beginning, but I just wanted more.

I loved how the characters developed throughout the book. We really got to know then very well. I enjoyed how everything was built through the different point of views as well as time. The chapters all start with a date stamp which was very interesting and useful to know how much time has passed, it off something was happening at the same time.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and will probably read their books again.

I received a copy of this book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
