With the title like Vampire Detective you’d assume right way that this show is about a detective who happens to be a vampire, and you would be right… but also very wrong The series contains only 12 episodes.
Vampire Detective follows Joon San (Lee Joon) who is trying to figure out what happened to his girlfriend, Jung Yoo Jin (Kim Yoon Hye), and best friend, Kang Tae Woo (Jo Bok Rae) after their last mission where he was injured. He’s working with Young Goo Hyung (Oh Jung Se), as a private eye, when they get dragged into a series of Investigations connected to underground organization. At the end of the first investigation, San gets injected with a blood serum transforming him into something similar to a vampire. Throughout the entire series, San struggles with the side effects of his transformation while trying to piece together the clues leading him to the truth behind Yoo Jin and Tae Woo’s past.
I’ll be honest I liked the show, but I’m not sure how I feel about the ending. It wasn’t a bad ending in any way, and they could expand into a second season. Over all I would say it’s a good watch.
Here’s a not so quick recap of the story so far! While looking into Han Gyo Min (Jae Hee) disappearance, San (Lee Joon),Gyeo Wool (Lee Se-young) and Goo Hyung (Oh Jung-se) stumble across a vampire bar. After a shootout San got inject with a blood serum that heals him no matter what, and turns him into something similar to a vampire. Later the trio were hired to protect the newscaster Seo Seung-Hee (Choi Song-hyun), and while figuring out that case San uncovers more information out about the vampire bar and how they obtain their food supply. The more that San looks into the case there are more links there are to Jung Yoo Jin (Kim Yoon-hye) being part of an illegal organization. San later gets a call from an old cop acquaintance, Choi Seon Yeong, and he help her get into her father’s safe where they find pictures of Yoo Jin and Kang Tae-Woo (Jo Bok Rae) that her father, Jang Tae Shik (Choi Gwi Hwa), would have used to make fake ID’s. The trio is hired to clear Moon Gyeong Ho of murder charges, which they do, however their client isn’t who they say they were but in fact a woman by the name of Yo Na (Lee Chung Ah) who seems to have a connection to Yoo Jin. Yo Na calls San after a case and asks for a meeting to which he agrees to and ends up helping her find her ex-lover, Young Kwang. Yoo Jin calls San to tell him to be careful, which only pushes san to try and find Yoo Jin even more. Now on to this episode!
We re-watch the scene where Yo Na turns Tae Woo into a vampire after he shot himself in the head. Yo Na gives Tae Woo a glass of blood and warn him that it won’t be as easy as he thought. She asks him if he’s not already regretting his decision, which he denies. Yo Na tells him that since she’s done what he wants, she wants to discuss Jo Myung Guen, but he tells her that they still needed to discuss Yoo Jin.
Tae Woo goes to see Yoo Jin, who is struggling against her bounds. When Tae Woo unties her, Yoo Jin tells him that we have to leave. Tae Woo tells her that they can’t turn back anymore. Yoo Jin doesn’t seem to understand and she tells him that he’s acting odd. He cuts his hand and shows her it healing, he tells her that this is the secret Challenger has been hiding. He promises to try and save her.
San is at the police station when Goo Hyung comes out. The Police chief won’t issue a warrant yet and they have to wait. San starts freaking out and start asking Goo Hyung about the possibility of Tae Woo and Yoo Jin dying but this causes Goo Hyung to tell him to stop. Tae Woo calls Goo Hyung and San takes the phone. Tae Woo tells him that he knows where Myung Guen is but they also have Yoo Jin. He promises that he will save Yoo Jin and tells San that he will send him Myung Guen’s location so he can apprehend him. San freaks out a little after hearing the news.
Once Tae Woo hangs up Yoo Jin asks him what he’s trying to prove. He admits that it’s all up to San now, if he goes to catch Myung Guen he will die honourably, and if he comes to save her San will die by his hand. Tae Woo tells her that she’s all his now, and Yoo Jin asks to kill San herself because if he kills San she won’t be able to look him in the eye. He tells her that he will allow it so long as she becomes a vampire just like him.
Some police officers get ready to go capture Myung Guen, and San breaks from the group. Goo Hyung calls after him and tells him that he needs to follow his orders. San tells him that he promised Yoo Jin to protect her, and after much begging, Goo Hyung lets San go. He gets into the car to lead the police to Myung Guen’s location, but he has a bad feeling about it.
The police arrive at the location provided in the text and they search for Myung Guen. After a while of searching Park notices a piece of bloodied blanket sticking out of a discarded locker. When Park opens the locker they find Myug Guen dead inside. However, when opening the locker it primed a bomb. Goo Hyung hears the click and sees the bomb timer and pull Park to safety.
San gets to the Challenger building after driving a tad like a maniac. San is running looking for Yoo Jin when he meets with Tae Woo. Tae Woo tells him to look for Yoo Jin down one corridor while he searches another. When San finally finds Yoo Jin and unties her she asks him why did he come. San meets up with Tae Woo again right as they get to the elevator, and San hugs Yoo Jin tight. However, there are men waiting for them in the garage. San goes to fight them head on and Tae Woo and Yoo Jin go around the group.
From this point on we’re re-watching the scene from episode 1 where San fights with a bunch of people and Tae Woo comes back for him in the car. While they’re driving away Yoo Jin asks for the car to be pulled over so she can get some air. Finally, we witness San being shot and the car exploding.
San is in the hospital recuperating and Goo Hyung refuses to leave his side. When San finally wakes up he refuses to eat even though Goo Hyung keep trying to get him too. San keeps replaying Yoo Jin’s last works in his head over, and over again.
Tae Woo comes into Yoo Jin’s room and asks her if she’s ok. She tells him to stop pretending like he cares. Tae Woo leaves her a bottle of blood and tells her to drink it slowly. She insisted that she doesn’t need it and he admits that it’s hard at first. Right before Tae Woo leaves Yoo Jin tells him that she is relieved that she didn’t let San die by his hand. Tae Woo tells her that it doesn’t matter because he dead, but let’s be honest San has only shot closer to his shoulder.
Both San and Yoo Jin sit in their respective bedrooms crying, thinking about their past together.
Goo Hyung packs up his things, and Park asks if he’s really leaving. Goo Hyung tells him that someone needs to take responsibility for the death of 2 colleagues.
Yoo Jin is looking out the small opening in her curtains when Yo Na comes and closes them. She asks if she still misses the sun and if she still has lingering feelings about her past. Yo Na notices San’s necklace and takes it off her. She tells Yoo Jin that thinks like that don’t suit her anymore.
Goo Hyung goes to see San who’s sitting next to the river. San asks how he got there, and he tells him by walking. This bad joke makes San choke back a laugh, and Goo Hyung says it’s good to see him laugh even a little after so many years. He tells him to be worried and hands him his business card, and asks if he wants to join him. San laughs at the idea because one of the investigators was kicked off the police force and the other was shot in the chest. Goo Hyung tells him that even if they can’t solve the case they should at least try and help them.
We’re back to the present and the cab drops San off at a seemingly abandoned warehouse. He looks around and finally comes face to face with Tae Woo. When San recognises him he moves closer but Tae Woo tells him to stop. Tae Woo asks San to never see himself or Yoo Jin ever again.
The next morning Goo Hyung sees San on the stairs and asks him what he did all night. San tells Goo Hyung that Tae Woo and Yoo Jin are alive. Goo Hyung asks if he’s meet with them and San falls silent. Gyeo Wool comes to them and tells them that she made juice, however, the two men are quite solem. San walks by her, and Goo Hyung goes up stairs and she’s left standing there with 3 glasses of juice awkwardly.
Gyeo Wool goes to see Se Ra and starts complaining about the two men and their secrets. Se Ra asks Gyeo Wool why she’s drinking wine in the morning if she made juice, and Gyeo Wool proceeds to offer her a glass. Gyeo Wool asks if she comes off as rude and though Sera says she doesn’t Gyeo Wool believes that no one wants to get close to her since she has a bad personality. Se Ra tells her that San and Goo Hyung cherish her a lot and she seems to be the only person who can’t see it. Se Ra also tells her that San appears to be looking for someone.
Yo Na comes to see Tae Woo and asks where Joo Young Kwang is, and Tae Woo tells her that he hasn’t killed him yet. She warns him not to lay a finger on him, and Tae Woo tells her that once he has what he wants he will let him go unharmed. He pushes the tablet over so she can see what’s going on. Tae Woo tells her that he’s becoming impatient. He tells her to bring him the list of helpers and he won’t drain Young Kwang’s blood. Yo Na tells him that if something happens to him before she returns she promises to kill Yoo Jin in front of him.
San sits in his room thinking about all of the events that have happened between him and his 2 friends. He also thinks about how much Yoo Jin has tried to help him since she was ‘dead’.
Goo Hyung starts drinking soju across from San. San tells him that he met with Tae Woo. Goo Hyung asks that even if they are both alive that he has no idea where to start, and he confirms that he does. Just then Yo Na walks in looking quite sullen. Goo Hyung is confused about the current events and Yo Na tells them that Yoo Jin was killed then brought back to life. She turns to San and tells him that he should understand that better than anyone else. She tells them that they have 1 hours to bring her the helper list, and then she will help San reunite with Yoo Jin.
Just as Gyeo Wool comes home she spots Yo Na leaving. She runs down the stairs and chases the car a little.
Inside San is going through Goo Hyung’s computer and asks him where the list is. Goo Hyung tells him that he doesn’t have it. San tells him that he needs to meet up with Yoo Jin to find out what happened to her. Gyeo Wool comes in demanding answers about Yo Na but Goo Hyung keeps deflecting and San stay quiet. Goo Hyung finally tells her that she’s a client and she wants they to look into her cheating lover. Goo Hyung asks Gyeo Wool to look for a USB so he can send some information to a client.
Yo Na’s car stops and she thinks back to when she and Young Kwang first met and lived together as humans. San and Goo Hyung are about to leave but San reminds him about their equipment. Goo Hyung agrees that it might be dangerous and tells him he’ll be right back but San leaves without him. San meets up with Yo Na can give her the list, and Yo Na hands over an address on a piece of paper telling him that this will be their last time. In the folded paper is Yoo Jin’s necklace. San leaves upon seeing it, and Yo Na calls Tae Woo.
Tae Woo meets Yo Na at the same place San did and he tells her that she called much sooner than he thought. Yo Na asks if Young Kwang is alive and where he’s being held. Tae Woo tells her that he is alive, but as too his location it will have to wait until they check the list. When they check there seems to be a computer virus that is let loose on the computer. Tae Woo asks what’s going on but by the look on her face she didn’t know either, then Tae Woo gets news that the men guarding Yoo Jin were attacked.
Meanwhile, San gets to the building and fights his way to Yoo Jin’s rooms. After fighting god knows how many men, San nonchalantly gets into an elevator. San gets to Yoo Jin’s floor and walks with purpose to her door.
Gyeo Wool comes into the living room to find Goo Hyung pacing the room. Gyeo Wool tells him that she put a tracker on the USB. After Goo Hyung asks her, she admits that she did a few other things to the USB and he explodes at her about the USB being important. She asks why they left her out of everything. She asks if it was Yo Na again and he just tuts her.
San enters the room (that isn’t locked?) and comes face-to-face with Yoo Jin. Yoo Jin starts to cry in front of San with out saying a word San walks over to her and hugs her tight. She pushed him away telling him that he can’t be there with her. She tells him that he saw her die, so just pretend that she is dead. She accidently scratches San with a pen and she watches his wound heal. She knows right away what he is, though he doesn’t. San tries to get her to leave but she tells him that either way they can’t run.
Tae Woo comes back to the building to find all of his men laying prone on the floor. Tae Woo heads to Yoo Jin’s room. Tae Woo arrives to find the room empty.
San gets Yoo Jin into his car and starts driving. He asks her after a moment if she’s okay. She mentions that Tae Woo will chase them, and San tells her that he can’t be apart from her again, so they’ll find a way.
Goo Hyung asks Gyeo Wool to trace the USB again. Gyeo Wool tells him that she’s coming with and he begs her to stay at the house. He promises to tell her everything when he comes back. When Goo Hyung get to the building he meets up with Tae Woo. He admits that he didn’t think he was still alive. Goo Hyung asks Tae Woo where San is, and Tae Woo admits that he wanted to asks him the same question. Tae Woo decides that he will use Goo Hyung as bait to find San.
While driving, Yoo Jin asks why San isn’t asking her about how she became a vampire. He tells her that she probably doesn’t want to talk about it. They arrive at an abandoned building right before sunrise. He covers her with a blanket and walks her to the building, after check it was empty. He covers the windows for her.
Well, this is a day late because of memorial day. The episode only went live on Tuesday, and since this one has a lot to do with back ground I had a lot to write about. I’m so sorry everyone! Enjoy!

Yo Na calls San after a case and asks for a meeting to which he agrees to and ends up helping her find her ex-lover, Young Kwang. Yoo Jin calls San to tell him to be careful. Now on to this episode!
A few years back, Goo Hyung is looking at the wanted criminal poster in the police office when Detective Park comes in with Gyeo Wool. She swears that she didn’t steal the wallet and it belongs to her uncle, however detective tells her that he saw her steal the wallet. He asks her got her guardian’s telephone number and she tells him that she doesn’t have one. He tells her that if the wallet belongs to her uncle she can’t not have a guardian. Gyeo Wool admits that she found the wallet in a taxi. Goo Hyung comes over to see the wallet and pulls out the ID of Jo Myung Guen who should be dead. Goo Hung asks her why does she have a dead man’s wallet, and Gyeo Wool is surprised to find out that he’s dead. She swears left right a center that she didn’t kill anyone. Goo Hyung walks over to the board and Detective Park follows. He hands the wallet to Park and tells him that they now have evidence that Myung Guen could be alive and they will need to re-open the case. Goo Hyung tells him that they needs to focus on finding Myung Guen, and to do that they will need to get in some fresh faces.
Back in the present, San arrives at the payphone that Yoo Jin called him from, to find that she is obviously already gone. San sees a security camera outside a store that would have a direct line of site of the phone booth. He goes in, shows his id and asks if he can see the security camera.
Goo Hyung is in the kitchen making gimbap when Gyeo Wool comes in asking him why he was making them and jokingly asks if he was going on a field trip. He tells her that you make gimbap when someone you love is having a party or going on a field trip. Gyeo Wool asks if he was making them for Se Ra, and he simply tells her to stop eating the ingredient. She start tells him that if he has time to make these then he should be focusing on her brother’s case. He tells her that he is always thinking about her brother’s case no matter what he’ doing. Gyeo Wool asks if he’s seen San, he tells her that he never sleeps in.
San reviews the footage from the security cameras at the store and finds the footage when Yoo Jin is on the screen. He re-watches it multiple times and he starts to cry, seeing her on the screen getting into a taxi.
Goo Hyung brings the gimbap to the shop and Se Ra absolute loves it, saying that it seems like the ingredients are breathing. Kwang tells him that the more he chews the waterier it gets and his rice is too chewy. Goo Hyung tells him that he dislikes it but he ate it all anyways. San suddenly shows up out of breath and everyone turns to him. Kwang looks at the footage and tells him that it might take a while to clean up the taxi plate number. San asks him to rush it because it’s really important. Goo Hyung looks at the rootage and recognises Yoo Jin right away.
Gyeo Wool watches Goo Hyung from the corner, and watches as he looks sad and listless. When San comes down the stair somberly, Gyeo Wool asks if something happened to Goo Hyung because he is as happy as he was that morning. She asks if Se Ra rejected him, and San assures her that it’s nothing like that. San makes his ways over to Goo Hyung and asks if it was really Yoo Jin in the footage, and what was going on. San promises Goo Hyung that he was going to find her and ask her that exact question. San admits to Goo Hyung that after he lost Yoo Jin he thought about what could have happened had he refused the mission when he first met him.
Right after San, Tae Woo and Yoo Jin accepted the mission, San teased Yo Jin that she was nervous for the meeting, he also admits to being a little excited about the mission. Tae Woo tells San not to be over-confident because it can make the people around him nervous, this confuses San. The trio arrives at Goo Hyung’s house, San asks if it’s the right place but it matches the address. Tae Woo rings the bell and Goo Hyung invites them in.
Tae Woo tells Goo Hyung that he has a nice house, and comments that police officers must make a good wage. San tells him that it looks like someone else house. Goo Hyung asks him why he says that, and he explains that he had difficulty finding the glasses and the sweater hanging on the chair is too large for him. Goo Hyung tells him that he could have had issues finds glasses because he never has people over and he might like to wear baggy sweaters. San tells him that’s true, however men don’t tend to hang pictures of other men in their house in multiple places. Goo hyung tells him that he lives up to what he was told that he was quick witted. He tells them this will be wear they are staying until the completion of the the mission.
Goo Hyung explains the Myung Guen was the CEO of the CMK Network who was a multimethod organization who was performing a pyramid scheme, and Myung Guen disappeared with 500 million Won. They have recently found some evidence that he may in fact still be alive, and not dead after all. CMK has recently changed their name to challenger, and they believe that Myung Guen changed his identity and is still running it. They need them to infiltrate the organization and figure out if he is actually still in charge. He admits that quite a few officers have tried to infiltrate the organization but they are all missing. Tae Woo asks if there could be spy in the department, and he confirms that he went to the academy himself because of the possibility. They are hoping that new officers with unknown faces would work for this mission; however their lack of field experience could be an issue. He tells them that as long as they live in that house they will be trained on how to perform undercover operations. He pulls out a non disclosure form that if they sign they agree that if something goes wrong no compensation or explanation will be given. Goo Hyung tells that that it’s a very dangerous mission and they can feel free to leave if they don’t want to proceed. Tae Woo looks around at the others who are thinking. San is the first one to say that he will do it, and he signs that the paper, followed by Yoo Jin, and finally Tae Woo.
Goo Hyung teaches them about the organization and how the fraud happens. He explains that it starts with one phone call from a friend that you trust. Once they fall in scheme they’ll take out loans just to stay in the organization. Goo Hyung asks if they understand, but Tae Woo is still struggling. Detective Park arrives with chicken meals and he explains the situation again with him. San doesn’t understand how people would continue with the organization. Goo Hyung explains that greed is a horrible thing and if you get ripped off you want to rip other people off. They start discussing who will go in, and San offers. Tae Woo offers as well and San tells him that it’s not about pride if he doesn’t want to go in. Goo Hyung tells him that Yoo Jin and Tae Woo will go because San and Yoo Jin are in a relationship, their emotions might affect the mission. Goo hyun tells them that In Hyun Ta is an insider that they won over. He had been exposed during an investigation, so they decided to keep them on board.
Tae Woo sits in on the class while Goo Hyung, San and Yoo Jin listen. After the classed Tae Woo meets with the higher people in the organization and they asked if he was interested. He admits that it’s tempting but he had a question. He asks if it’s true that if he had enough money he could start as a silver member, the woman advises him that it’s true and he tells her that he’ll start at sapphire since he has some money saved. Goo Hyung packs some money in a bag and hands it over. Tae Woo hands over the money and tells them they can check the money because it’s all there. Tae Woo works really hard to get the higher ups to to trust him in the company.
The 4 of them are standing around the products that were delivered and Go Hyung doesn’t like looking t them. They decided that it’s time to bring in the second mole into the organisation.
Tae Woo brings Yoo Jin to sign up, and she tells the moderator that she trust her friend that’s why she’s signing up. Tae Woo puts that she’s his girlfriend, which shocks San and Yoo Jin. When they return San asks why, and Goo Hyung jumps in saying that it’s actually a good thing because partnerships in the organizations are frowned upon but if they’re in a relationship than they can work together. Goo Hyung tells Tae Woo and Yoo Jin that they should act like a real couple for the mission so that they can get to know each other. San, though he’s not happy, he agrees that it would be safer for the mission.
Tae Woo comes to see San afterwards and asks him if he’s really okay with a plan or if he’s just pretending. San tells him that it’s work. Tae Woo asks how he can be so carefree about everything that he does, and if he ever feels jealous. San asks him why would he since they’re friends. Tae Woo seems defeated, and San asks him to protect Yoo Jin while out in the field, and he confirms that he will.
Present San gets a call from Kwang and he tells him that he managed to pull that license plate number off of the cab. San calls that cab gets in and goes for a ride.
San goes to see Yoo Jin while she reading in bed, and he gets under the blankets and cuddles up to her. He tells her that whenever he reads or is focused on something she’s beautiful. Yoo Jin reminds him that he told her that when he asked her out on their first date. San admits not remembering that but he probably said it because he was nervous. Yoo Jin goes to apologizes for that day, and San cuts her off and tells her that Tae Woo will protect her. He reminds her that when he gave her necklace it was so that they would never misunderstand each other and they could trust each other. We then get a very cute flashback to San giving her the necklace.
While San is in the cab, the cabbie spoke up and asks if the woman was important to him. San seemed a little shocked and confirms that she is. The cabbie tells him that he’s lucky but he should be careful and protect himself.
Tae Woo and Yoo Jin comes out of somewhere and Yoo Jin smiles to herself. Tae Woo asks her what is making her so happy. He tells her he wishes it’s because she’s enjoying the date with him but he knows that’s not the case. Yoo Jin tells him that she is enjoying it and he tells her that she’s a horrible liar and asks how she’s going to complete the mission like that. He tells her that they should act like a normal couple to get used to each other, and he places her hand on his arm and they go see a movie, with a bed to watch from.
Meanwhile, San and Goo Hyung are eating ramen and San checks his phone. Goo Hyung asks if he’s worried, and San tries to pretend that nothing is wrong. Goo Hyung keeps pushing until San leave stating that he isn’t feeling well that just confirms that he’s worried.
Yoo Jin and Tae Woo sit down in a park with coffees. Tae Woo mentions that it’s a really nice day for a date, Yoo Jin arrives and mentions that she wants to bring San next time. Tae Woo tells her that they should all come back the next time. Yoo Jin asks Tae Woo why there seems to be animosity between San and he. He explains that when people have similar tastes they tend to bash heads, and given that he and San both hate loosing. He tells her that they also have the same taste in women. She stops and looks stunned and he tries to brush it off as a joke.
San is waiting for them, and Yoo Jin asks why he isn’t sleeping at that hour. He tells her that he was waking because he might as well work hard. She asks if he was waiting up for her, he hugs her and confirms that the was. After that once Tae Woo and Yoo Jin would finish work, Yoo Jin would spend time with San, with Tae Woo longing for Yoo Jin in the background.
Tae Woo and Yoo Jin work their way up in the company, while San and Goo Hyung work hard in the background. Tae Woo and Yoo Jin go out to a company dinner with challengers, and while Tae Woo brings Yoo Jin to the car he wonders aloud why she drank so much. Once Tae Woo gets them into a car he takes off his glasses and severs the link between them and San.Tae Woo now asks the unconscious Yoo Jin if she really hates him that much. He leans back finally looking defeated.
When they actually get back Goo Hyung rips into him, for severing their connection. San is grabbing Yoo Jin who is asleep on Goo Hyung back and begs him to wait until the following day to do it. They leave him standing in the walk way.
The following day, Tae Woo is sitting in the organization’s stairwell thinking back to the 1st conversation that he had with San when Goo Hyung calls him. When they asks where Yoo Jin is because they can’t reach him, he tells them that she’s in a class so her phone is probably off. He goes to look for her. When he enters a room he starts looking around and finds boxes of wine and blood packs. He then gets hit on the head and knocked out. When he comes to he sees Yo Na sitting there. He apologizes pretending to have been walked into the wrong room. He turns to leave when Yo Na stops him, telling him that she’s been wondering when the next rat would show up. She then asks what his girlfriend is like, as a thinly veiled threat. Tae Woo begs her not to touch Yoo Jin, and she will depending on how he preforms. She tells him that she knows where Myung Guen is and he has 2 hours to bring him to her. He asks if she knows where he is why doesn’t she go get him, and she asks why he’s still talking.
He goes to where she tells him that Myung Guen is, and gets greeted with a gun to his face. He asks him if he was sent there by the organisation, but Tae Woo tries to tell him that he’s a cop but Myung Guen sees the Organization pin. Myung Guen tells him that he’s came there not knowing anything about what is going on. Myung Guen asks if he’s human, and Tae Woo confirms that he is but he’s very confused about the question. Myung Guen asks if Yo Na hadn’t told him that she would transform him into a vampire if he brought him in, this really confuses Myung Guen.
Myung Guen sits down and tells Tae Woo about the Challenger organization. He explains that Challenger is not a normal multiple methods organization as he thought. They trade in human lives. They target people with sick family members and offer them a 6 million won shot to make them better. So they give them a new life, a life like them. After they turn the family member their true plan comes into play and they supply the family with blood and new lives, and make them promise to never talk about the organization and they get the title of helpers. When Tae Woo asks if Myung Guen was a helper, he confirms that he sought out the organization to save his daughter’s life. Tae Woo asks about the other cops that have come, and Myung Guen tells him that he’s sure that they are decomposing somewhere. Myung Guen tells him to kill him, after he had an outburst. He tells him that he’s so tired of living that life. Hyung Guen asks if Tae Woo has meet Yo Na, though he is meet with silence he tells him that even if he brings him in Yo Na will still kill him.
Tae Woo goes back to see Yo Na and fires his gun that grazes her cheek. He sees it heals, and he tells her that why Myung Guen had told him was accurate. Yo Na asks if he’s surprised. Tae Woo tells her that if she kills him she’ll never see Myung Guen again, because he’s hidden him somewhere she’s never find. Yo Na mentions that instead of a rat, he’s actually turned into a snake. He tells her to turn him into a vampire like her because he needs their strength to get what he wants. Yo Na tells him that she saw greed in his eyes and a greedy soul is always dangerous. Tae Woo holds the gun to his head and tells her that if he doesn’t turn her that he’ll kill himself. He tells her that Myung Guen is a ticking time bomb and she needs to silence him. However if she doesn’t change him he’ll take Myung Guen location to the grave. Yo Na asks if he really has the courage to pull the trigger, and he admits that he doesn’t know. He does pull the trigger and Yo Na walks around him as he dies and repeats his name. She tells herself that she must remember that name before changing him. While he’s changing he recalls all of the conversations that he’s had with San and Yoo Jin since the beginning of the mission.
That’s it, and now we know what lead to the start of the series. Sorry for the late post but enjoy.

Yo Na calls San after a case and asks for a meeting to which he agrees to and ends up helping her find her ex-lover, Young Kwang. Now on to this episode!
Yo Na goes into her office and sits behind her desk. She pulls out a notebook and flips through it. She finds the picture of Young Kwang in it a burns it, with the aid of a nearby candle.
Tae Woo is sitting at a bar with a lit cigar, when his men bring in a man. The man starts begging for his life claiming the President Soo tricked him into believing that if he did want he wanted then he to would be turned into a vampire. Tae Woo asks him if he knows whose blood he’s drinking and man starts begging for his life. Tae Woo tells him that if he doesn’t tell him what he wants him too then he’s useless. The man gets dragged away and Yoo Jin enters the scene. She asks Tae Woo if he’s given up on being human all together, which he confirms after ‘that night’ he had. Yoo Jin tells him that if it were that simply sho would have done it. Tae Woo asks why not, and then asks if it’s because of San. She doesn’t answer so he continues, he tells her that if she thought he didn’t know about he helping San. He tells her that it doesn’t matter anymore anyways because he can kill him again. Yoo Jin asks him to not touch San, and Tae Woo tells her that it’s her fault for helping him. He tells her that he won’t hurt him if she stops involving him.
San and Goo Hyung are repairing the railing in the living room, Goo Hyung tells San that he should be more careful while he punching people in the house. San asks how it would be different and Goo Hyung tells him he should have simply punched them the other way. They manage to get it aligned and San is nailing the post down, they continue bickering over the aftermath when Gyeo Wool comes in. She asks if they are almost done and they tell her they are, she tells them something looks off and knocks the railing off. Thankfully the doorbell saves her from being killed by the 2 men.
A father, Kim Sung Gyu, sits with them to hire them find the person who killed his son. Goo Hyung tells him that if it’s about a murder he is best to contact the police. Sung Gyu tells them that it can’t be proved to be murder, but it was, this confuses all 3 of them. He explains that his son had an internet show where he ate on camera for a living. Something clicks in Gyeo Wool’s mind and she pulls up and article about a man who died while streaming and found out that it was about his son, Kim Wook.
Gyeo Wool explains that people would stream online and they would pay in a currency called stars which could be switched into money. San wonders how much money they could earn and Gyeo Wool tells him that some people get millions of views on a video and can earn a lot of money. Sung Gyu admits that he thought his son made a living trading stocks since he spent so much time in front of the computer.
The night that he died someone offered him 300,000 stars (3 million won) to eat all his food in 3 minutes. Sung Gyu holds that person responsible for his son’s death. He explains that he drives a cab so he never had time to spend with him, and he could never do anything for him. All he wants is a sincere apology.
The trio watched some of Wook’s videos, Goo Hyung and Gyeo Wool both find this odd and weird. San tells then that there is a reason for it and they shouldn’t call it weird just because they don’t get it. Gyeo Wool mentions that she never sees San eat, and he tells her that he eats. She asks when, and Goo Hyung saves him and tells her that he eats like a pig, he only eats dinner and his portion is huge. She starts chastising him telling him that they should eat together. When Goo Hyung notices Se Ra’s image on the site.
Se Ra comes over and performs her opening for her show IRL. San asks her if she’s heard anything about Kim Wook’s death, and she asks if he means the President. She explains that there are some viewers who a big spender on the site, and the president is the viewer who spends the most. Se Ra remembers that the president’s screen name is Dokko Gugum. She tells them that there will be a commemorative show with the top creators, and the top creator of the evening will get his money that was suppose to go to Wook. Goo Hyung asks her if she’s participating, and she admits that she can’t since she has a synchronized swimming meet that day.
On the way to the set of the commemorative show; Goo Hyung plays Se Ra’s intro repeatedly and it’s driving them up the wall. Gyeo Wool admits that she doesn’t understand Dokko Gugum, why who he offer 200,000 stars to the top creator and call it a commemorative show. She also mentions that inviting a bunch of strangers to a house in the middle of nowhere sounds like a plot to a movie. San stops and everyone gets out, and Sung Gyu is had already arrived.
The trio gets introduced to the creators:
- Sin Sun – talkshow host
- Judy – from aphrodite, and a fitness streamer
- Cook Young – A chief
- Mi Sho – from pretty angel, a makeup guru
Producer Im tells him that they are missing someone and Detective Park comes in (the funnel who eats) and is shocked to see them there. San, Park and Goo Hyung go outside to talk. Goo Hyung can’t believe that he runs his own internet show, but San reminds him that they can now work with Park on the investigation. Park asks what they are trying to achieve by Dokko Gugum since they can’t really arrest him. San tells him that the father really just wants an apology rather than and sentencing.
Producer Im walking through the set up with San, and the equipment that is present, and how to talk with the creators in each of their rooms. Right before the show is to start everyone was eating and Park shared some of his food. Goo Hyung asks if he’s sick, and he tells him that food is made for sharing. Gyeo Wool compares that two of them and Goo Hyung tells her not to compare the two of them. Judy asks what they plan on doing after they catch Dokko Gugum. San tells them that they are only there to identify him. Park likens them to Sherlock but credits the work to Agatha Christie. Goo Hyung asks him if Agatha Christie wrote Sherlock Holmes, he ask what Conan Doyle wrote, but Park tells him that he was a investigator. Goo Hyung tells him that he is a disgrace. Sin Sun asks if Dokko Gugum did something wrong since they are looking for him. Sung Gyu gets up and leaves and San follows.
San explains that he understands that he’s feeling uncomfortable, but he explains that everyone who is there is his son’s friend and colleague so he shouldn’t feel awkward. Sung Gyu tells him that they are all there for the money and not really for his son. Wook was always overweight which caused him to be teased at school, so he had hoped that this job had given him the chance to meet some friends.
Judy bumps into Mi Soh and she tells her to stop acting so cute. Mi Soh tells her that she is always that cute, and Judy asks if a person so cute could diss her on air and steal her viewers. Mi Soh tells her that blaming her for her poorly managing her show is pathetic. She also tells her that she shouldn’t have met with Dokko Gugum for more money or let a small gym sponsor her show.
Gyeo Wool and Goo Hyung go outside and find Sin Sun waiting for his guests. Sin Sun asks Gyeo Wool if she would like to be on his show and Goo Hyung asks is he didn’t want a pretty guest instead. 4 girls of Flash arrive and Sin Sun asks Goo Hyung to take a picture of them together.
Producer Im is taking a call and tells the person on the other end that there are investigators there. As soon as San comes closer he tells the manager that he will call him back. San asks if they would be able to get the viewers details from this location, and Producer Im tells him that even with the best equipment it would be heard. San inquires about his knowledge of Dokko Gugum, and he admits that he only knows the basics. He tells San that Dokko Gugum is the top backer of their creators which allows them to not need to support them as much, but there doesn’t mean that they don’t take responsibility, hence why some of the proceeds will be given to Wook’s family. Producer Im excuses himself and San knows something is wrong.
Park starts talking with Mi Soh and tells her she has a lot of things. She admits that she finds she is still missing a thing. Park offers to help her get whatever it is that she’s missing, and help in anyways. Goo Hyung tells him to stop talking and Mi Soh admits that she would like Gyeo Wool’s help during the stream. While Gyeo Wool helps Mi Soh, Goo Hyung helps Detective Park.
All the shows start and San is in the viewing room, and he asks Producer Im if Dokko Gugum will actually come. He confirms that he should since he’s the one who invited them there. Sung Gyu starts getting impatient and San tells him that they have to wait but he will come, he tells San that he needs to go for a walk. Dokko Gugum first appears in Mi Soh’s chat room, right after She finishes Gyeo Wool’s makeup. She asks her to draw it out as long as possible while she starts the tracking.
As soon as Dokko Gugum is no longer in the chat room, Goo Hyung, Gyeo Wool and San congregate in the production room. They ask how the tracking is going and she tells them that it’s going to take her a while yet. Goo Hyung asks what’s on her face and Gyeo Wool tells him that she didn’t want Mi Soh to touch her makeup and was planning on removing it. San tells her that it looks good and she looks pretty. Goo Hyung tells her that it looks odd and she hits him, and he says that’s better. San and Goo Hyung both agree that she looks really pretty but the normal her is better.
Hours later Dokko Gugum pops up in Judy’s chat room briefly and Gyeo Wool tries the trace again. Dokko Gugum starts bouncing from Judy’s video, to Sin Sun’s, to Park’s, to Mi Soh’s and finally to Cook Young’s. Goo Hyung complains that he really knows how to keep them on their toes. San asks if there was a way they could chat with him, and Producer Im hands him a keyboard and mouse. San opens a chat and Goo Hyung wants to chat with Dokko Gugum. San goes to move, but Goo Hyung tells him that he needs to do the typing because he can’t type, so San sits back down. Goo Hyung tells him to type what he tells him too. It first start normally and then he has San provoke him by insulting him. Gyeo Wool tells them they need more time so they need to prolong it. San asks why he spends his money so frivolously because it seems crazy. Dokko Gugum tells him that he’s not the crazy one because the creators who want his money are doing all of this for his attention. He admits that he enjoys watching people fall apart trying to get his money. San asks if he’s sane and Dokko Gugum asks back, is anyone sane. Gyeo Wool finds that IP address and it leads them to the house they are in. All of a sudden the power goes out.
Judy screams and they run to her room. So see’s the blood and look to the knife on the ground. Park mentions that it’s the same type of knives that Young Cook uses. San mentions that it would be really dumb to use your own knife for the crime. San asks Judy what happened and she tells her that as soon as the power went out she stood still, someone came in her room and escaped via the window.
San leaves the room and Goo Hyung and Park trail after him. Outside San spots a blood trail and stops, he sees a body being dragged. Park asks if it’s always like this. Goo Hyung notices San’s glowing eyes and asks Park if he thinks that the culprit went a certain away, so he would face away from San. San continues to follow the blood trail to see the body dragged into the building. He asks his 2 companions what they think the building was for and he walked towards it.
Gyeo Wool and the rest of the creators are in a room until the power comes back on. The producer believes that no one is missing, but Gyeo Wool advises them that Sung Gyu is missing. She calls Goo Hyung to tells him.
San overhears the phone call and steels himself into finding Sung Gyu in the warehouse. They open the door and Dokko Gugum is hanging from his neck and on fire while Sung Gyu was tied to a chair. Park tries to put out the fire and San unties Sung Gyu.
Back in the house San asks Sung Gyu to tell him what really happened, and he keeps telling him that he is. San tells him that if he had the bag over his head like he claimed he wouldn’t have been able to see Dokko Gugum hanging himself, but he tried to tell him he heard him. San tells him that he also saw a trail of blood outside the warehouse and if he was the one to being dragged like he claimed than he should be bleeding but he’s fine. San tells him that he say the tire pressure and assumed that he had brought him in the trunk, then he simply asked why. Sung Gyu tells them that originally he didn’t want to kill him but when he picked him up in his taxi he told him that he wanted an apology. Dokko Gugum told him he wouldn’t apologizes and shifted the reason for Wook’s death to him. He got really mad and ended up killing him by mistake.
San mentions that he finds it odd that Dokko Gugum always made sure to keep his identity hidden. Producer Im told him that even with the best equipment it would be hard to find him, so someone who knew his identity must have told him. San stands in front of Judy, he tells her that he saw the cut on her arm, and it is angled in such a way that it couldn’t have been made by someone in front of her. He also tells her that it gave them just enough time to go and see Dokko Gugum die. Judy admitted to telling Sung Gyu Dokko Gugum’s identity. She met with him once for more money and he made her have sex with him. She wanted revenge no matter the method. Detective Park arrests both of them.
Yoo Jin goes to a public phone and calls San. When he picks up she doesn’t say anything for a while before warning him to be careful. She hangs up and San calls back right away. Yoo Jin just stares at the phone until it stops ringing. San is in shock that he received a call from her.
Here’s a not so quick recap of the story so far! While looking into Han Gyo Min (Jae Hee) disappearance, San (Lee Joon), Gyeo Wool (Lee Se-young) and Goo Hyung (Oh Jung-se) stumble across a vampire bar. After a shootout San got inject with a blood serum that heals him no matter what, and turns him into something similar to a vampire. Later the trio was hired to protect the newscaster Seo Seung-Hee (Choi Song-hyun), and while figuring out that case San uncovers more information out about the vampire bar and how they obtain their food supply. After meeting with Yo Na twice we, the audience, starts to understanding more about Yo Na and how she became the way she is now. Now on to this episode!
Gyeo Wool confronts San about his activities during their night at the club, and San tells her that he had somethings to do and he doesn’t need to explain himself to her. She tells San that next time he should make sure to bring them with him since they are a team.
Tae Woo gets told by his colleague that Joo Young Kwang won’t tell them where an item is, though they don’t say what It is. Tae Woo tells that to make sure that they tell them the information.
A woman is wandering the street barefoot and she seemed lost. We are then cut to Dr Kwang Jae Gook sketching a tattoo and Goo Hyung arriving with food. Goo Hyung is sad that Se Ra wasn’t in, and Jae Gook tells him that Se Ra was at cooking school. Goo Hyung tells him that she doesn’t need to go to school because she has a chef right there who could teach her like family. Jae Gook laughs and tells him that he knows what his intentions are toward Se Ra. Jae Gook receives a text message and when Goo Hyung asks who it was he mentions it’s from Se Ra. Goo Hyung wishes that she would text him. Jae Gook tells him that it’s rare the Se Ra texts first unless it’s too a person she likes.
Jae Gook gets a call from someone and rushes to the hospital. The woman from before is Jae Yoon, his younger sister. While Jae Gook is checking on Jae Yoon the doctor tells Goo Hyung that she was wandering and had not memories of what happened before she was picked up. When Jae Gook asks her about what happened and she confirms that she doesn’t know.
Jae Gook tells her that he’ll take her home, but she tells him that she doesn’t want to. He asks if it’s because of their mother which she confirms as the truth. Jae Gook decided to bring her home, but Goo Hyung pulls him aside and told him that he’s not sure a tattoo shop would be a good idea.
Gyeo Wool thinks that Goo Hyung is crazy for bringing Jae Yoon home. Goo Hyung tells her that he couldn’t exactly turn her away.
Jae Gook pushes and asks her if something has happened and she tells him that their mum wants to get married to Priest Seol. All of a sudden Jae Yoon starts freaking out and tells him that she can hear their father’s voice.
Their mother comes in and starts asking Jae Gook what he’s doing, and how dare he not bring her home. She claims that Jae Yoon is simply going through some spiritual confusion and needs to be healed by her priest. Jae Gook tells her that she is in need of a doctor and not a priest. His mother asks if he wants to kill Jae Yoon like he killed his father.
There was a flash back to when Jae Gook’s father was brought in to the hospital because he had difficulty breathing. Jae Yoon tells him that their mother had been performing an exorcism on their father, and Jae Gook flips. He asks how she could perform one while he was in this condition.
Jae Gook tells his mother that he can’t have Jae Yoon. Just them Priest Seol comes in and claims that Jae Yoon has been taken hold of by a spirit and it must be exorcised immediately. They are determined to do the exorcism at that house and they leave.
San asks Jae Gook about what happened before his father’s death. Jae Gook explains that at first her mother started going to the church to pray for her family but soon she would believe Priest Seol no matter what he said. When his father was diagnosis with cancer, she had refused to let him treat him at all. He wonders what would have happened if he had actually listened to her. San tells him that had he been in the same situation he would have done the same. Gyeo Wool asks what he wants to do about his sister, and he tells her that he wants to protect her. Jae Gook asks them to look into everything for him, and though everyone is uncertain San agrees. Jae Yoon freaks and starts chugging water complaining that she’s burning.
The trio has no idea where to start and Goo Hyung has an idea to call in Dong II who is a monk who is possessed by a spirit. Dong II comes and chants over Jae Yoon and when she starts muttering to herself he leans closer and she bites his ear. Jae Yoon tells Jae Gook that he looks so sad, and she apologies about making him so sad, and then she falls limp again. Dong II can’t confirm or deny that she is possessed are not, but he can confirms that she is not normal
Priest Seol and their mother return with everything required for an exorcism. San checks the room that they were preparing, san starts to poke around and Priest Seol tells him that there are so few people in this world have healthy souls and demon latch on to those people. Priest Seol mentions that the higher the risk the more he needs to perform. San asks if the compensation for the more dangerous the job the higher compensation. Priest Seol take offense in that and asks if he doesn’t believe in compassion.
Se Ra arrives and treats Dong II’s ear, he tries to hit on him but Goo Hyung stops him. Jae Gook’s mother calls them rude; she also tells him that she is certain that her priest will save Jae Yoon. Jea Gook tells her that he is impressed by her blind faith in him, and mentions that’s probably why she wants to marry him. She tells him that since he has been working in a rough environment his tongue has also gotten rough. He tells her that he has inherited his tongue from her.
Priest Seol calls and tells them that the room is ready for the ceremony and Jae Gook tells her that he doesn’t want her to perform the ceremony. However, she threatens to kill herself if he tries to stop her. Jae Gook carries Jae Yoon into the room and lays her on the bed. He decides to stay during the ceremony to keep an eye on him.
Gyeo Wool can’t find anything on Priest Seol, and commends him on living a very secure life. Goo Hyung tells her it’s a secretive life more than a secure one. Goo Hyung mulls aloud how the priest knew that he wasn’t the owner of the house. Dong II tells him it’s obvious because of his uncle’s photos. He asks about how he knew about San and Dong II reminds him that more private investigators started off cops. Dong II tells him that all medians have ways of reading people and he offers to introduce them to a few colleagues.
When the exorcism begins Seol places a talisman rope on Jae Yoon’s arm and she starts to scream. She starts asking that since he has already killed her once, that he is trying to kill him again along with Jae Yoon. Seol tells the ‘spirit’ that it needs to leave Jae Yoon’s body and instead he tries to strangle him. Jae Gook pulls Jae Yoon off of Seol and tries to calm her down.
San wants to go and check but everyone tells him not to go. Goo Hyung thinks that they should get some background on Seol, and how he might do it. Se Ra is going to stay at home to keep them abreast of the situation there.
Back in the exorcism, there is more screaming coming from Jae Yoon and Seol commands the spirit to show their true identity. She tells him that he should know who he is because he killed him. Seol picks up the whip and starts whipping her, Jae Gook’s mother tries to stop him but instead he breaks free and stops Seol. Jae Yoon asks if it’ll take her daughter’s own body being torn apart to understand what is happening.
The gang walks outside and San notices Seol’s car. He notices some blood on the rim and sees that it is from a hit and run with an unknown man. San mentions that Seol has a nice care, and Shi Guang mutters that business must be good. San stops the bickering and they head out to see the Virgin monk.
When they get there the seer gives them very vague and widely accurate reading and explains to them that if they give them something that is true for a lot of people then the clients will start opening up and they will have more idea what to say or promise them. Goo Hyung asks if that’s how Soel does it and San is sure that it is.
Once coming out, San suggests they split up to cover more ground. San and Gyeo Wool were going to look into Seol’s past clients and Goo Hyung is going to look into the theatre that Jae Yoon use to act with. San notices someone who might be following them.
San and Gyeo Wool find out that he never conned anyone, he’s cleaner than they thought and his bank account looked nice. Gyeo Wool wonders if she should get into the spirit catching business. San tells her that it would suit her. She is confused because it sounded like a compliment but she feels offended. San tells her that it’s a compliment because everything suits her. San asks about the victim and they go see Park Young Soo, whose family had paid a large sum of money to Seol. Yan Picks but the tail again.
San and Gyeo Wool go to the hospital to talk with Young Soo’s family. His mother explains that once he was diagnosed with terminal cancer she was devastated. She had paid Seol a large amount of money to cure him of his cancer. Seol had told them that they needed to get rid of the spirit entangled on him or else bad things could happen. Young Soo refused adamantly and a few days late he was hit in a hit and run.
Gyeo wool was certain that something was odd and it seemed off that he got into an accident for refusing an exorcist. She notices San looking somewhere else, and she asks why he keeps zoning out. He asks if he sees the same person in 3 different places it’s odd right, she agrees. San turns her around and tells her to look at her one o’clock and the guy starts to move. Gyeo Wool and San follow him into the stairwell and San cuts off part way. Right outside they box him in and he tries to punch his way out but San stops him and they find out that he is a private investigator.
Goo Hyung goes to the theatre and talks with a girl. The girl tells him that she has been worried about Jae Yoon because she started acting weird. She would stare off into space, talk to herself and cry. A few days ago she confided in her that she heard her father’s voice telling her that the Priest killed him. Goo Hyung asks what he normally says about Seol. She explains that he tells her that he walks around like a snake, and she felt bad that Jae Yoon’s mother fell for him. Seol had been against her father’s treatment after he was diagnosed with cancer, and he had told them that if Jae Gook treated him something bad would happen to the family. Also, ever since Seol told her mother that acting wasn’t in Jae Yoon’s future her mother had started putting pressure on her to stop.
At the hose, Jae Yoon suddenly went quiet and looks to Jae Gook. She tells him not to be sade because he didn’t kill their father, Seol did.
Goo Hyung meets with Detective Park and they meet. Goo Hyung is trying to clear up some confusion that he has, he wonders why the hospital admitted to the mistake so easily and why the doctor had to resign. Detective Park tells him that he may be working as a quack doctor somewhere, and Goo Hyung tells him that he isn’t a quack. Goo Hyung gets a call from San that they were being followed by another PI.
Seol tells his driver that he this family exhausts him, and he wonders that if she is possessed by her father’s spirit if he should do the same thing he did to him to her. He asks if everything is prepared and it is confirmed, and he adds poison to the rise he was munching on.
Se Ra brings Jae Yoon some porridge and tells her that she has a great bother, which she agrees. Jae Yoon admits that she sometimes feels like a burden to him, and Se Ra tells her not to say that. Her brother is so loyal that he will put himself in danger to protect the people he loves. Jae Yoon asks if Se Re likes her brother, and she admits that she has been with so long that she sees him as her own brother. Jae Yoon suddenly snaps back into her other personality.
Downstairs Jae Gook and his mother are talking, and she tries to put all their misfortune on him and his choice of being a doctor. He reminds her that she’s the one who wanted him to be a doctor, and she said that it was before she met Seol. He gets frustrated and tells her that she is always using Seol as an excuse. Seol and some of his colleague came back to preform the last exorcism. While Seol and their mother goes upstairs his colleagues start beating Jae Gook, and while Se Ra is hiding she texts S-V-M to Goo Hyng.
Goo Hyung meets with the PI who has heard of him. He tries to make a pass at Gyeo Wool calling her a book keeper, so in retaliation she kicks the glass from his hand and it s shatters in his face and when he tries to go after her San kicks him. He sees his blood and can tell that he did a transaction with Seol. He tells him that he had made a deal to follow them. Goo Hyung mentions that he must have client files in the office, and asks Gyeo Wool to open the safe, and in there they find the will of their father which leave his hefty estate to Jae Yoon. Goo Hyung gets Se Ra’s text and is trying to decipher it, and the PI tells him that it stands for saving me and Jae Yoon is probably already dead because they don’t know how evil that man is.
On the way home they pick up Dong II where they tell him they need his act. When they arrive Se Ra and Jae Gook is tied up in the corner and the 5 goons are blocking their way to them. Now obviously a brawl issues breaking a good part of the living room and San dominates it. They untie Se Ra and Jae Gook and prepare to head upstairs.
Seol tells Jae Yoon that he’s going to do the same thing to her that he did to her father. She knows who killed him, and knew what he was doing when it happened so she was an accomplice. Right before he could feed her the rice San stops him and calls him a fake priest. He says he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and Dong II asks if he knows why he chews on flesh, it’s because of all the people he killed are hungry and the people he killed will stay latched onto him until his death. In their father’s voice Dong II asks Seol if after his death he is going to kill his daughter just for his inheritance and forcing his daughter to put on the act.
Seol tries to put the blame on her, but she was trying to save her father from Seol when she poisoned the rice he was eating. Since Seol knew of the poison he used it on her father. Jae Gook threatens to kill him, but San pulls him off. Gyeo Hung mentions Choo Kang the PI that they had talked with, and Gyeo Wool finishes it with putting the too of them together finished the incomplete picture.
Dong II tells Jae Yoon that his life had already been eaten away by cancer and Jae Gook already knew that, that’s why he gave up trying to get the surgery done. He tells Jae Gook that he never meant to hurt either of them so much. He turns to their mother and tells her to let their kids finally go. She tells him that he planned this with Jae Yoon, and he asks if she remembers what he told her when he was diagnosed? He said that for their son’s sake he wants to just rest, which she break down at hearing.
San tells him that it’s over and he can stop. Dong II turns to him and asks if he is even human, or maybe his was brought back to life. He also tells him that he will meet that woman soon. He suddenly seems dazed and nearly falls but San and Goo Hyung hold him up. He seems lost when he came to, and Goo Hyung asked if he was really possessed and it wasn’t just a show.
Yoo Jin and Tae Woo meet and she asks how the meeting with the president went, and he tells her that it went fine. Yoo Jin stresses that they need to take care of this quickly, Yo Na won’t sit and take it much longer. He tells her that he is well aware, but he mentions that everything he has done, was for her. She tells him not to use her as an excuse. When she is walking away Tae Woo tells her that San is still alive.

Ji Woong gets left at a peer by a driver and gets handed a new identity. He tells the driver to tell Yo Na not worry since he is an expert and changing identities. After the driver leaves Tae Woo and a group of men come to see Ji Woong. He reminds him that he should be scared of him and Ji Woong warns him about Yo Na. They get into a fight where Ji Woong pulls a knife, and you would think that it would give him the advantage over an unarmed man. However when he does stab him multiple times in the gut it doesn’t seem to bother him. Tae Woo took the knife and stabs Ji Woong multiple times telling him again that it’s him who he needs to be scared of, and them seem to leave him as dead.
San arrives at the club to find Gyeo Wool, Goo Hyung, Doctor Hwang and Se Ra already there. San is really confused however Goo Hyung things that San arranged this so that it would cheer him up. San gets called up to see Yo Na and when he steps forward her bodyguard stops him. There is then a fight between him and the bodyguard until Yo Na tells them to stop. She invited him here to prove to him that she is the owner and he is the hunting dog.
They walk through the club into the back alley and San notices the vampiric activity and asks her if she made them that way. She doesn’t answer but instead makes a formal request to have San find someone for her. He asks why he should agree and she tells him that if he doesn’t his friends will be killed. She also tells him that if he tries to save them, they will also be killed. She tells him that the club is open until 6am and he has until that time to find the person she’s looking for. San is given the keys to the car and he and Yo Na get into the car.
San drives them to an empty warehouse, and Yo Na tells him that he should sniff around. He tells her that he is only going along with this because of his friends. When San gets out of the car Yo Na pulls out an old photo of Joo Young Kwang. She reminisces about the day she was eating breakfast with her mum and Dal Soo and he arrives. She fell in love at first sight with him, and we find out that Yo Na’s original name is Eun Hye.
San goes through the warehouse and sees a spill on the ground that contain blood and he sees the person break the bottle. He goes through the file room and find paperwork for the King Salon. He also looks through the trash where he finds a receipt for an order of UV lights. He hears something and goes after it. He sees someone but couldn’t catch up with him. He meets up with Yo Na and asks who that was. She stipulates that it looks like there are rats about, and he asks if there are more which she doesn’t know. He shows her what he found about the Salon, and before they leave San asks if the man that they are looking for is even human.
Yo Na and San arrive at the salon and he asks for a trim. The barber asks if it’s his first time, which he admits it is. While he is shaving him, he asks the barber if he knows Young Kwang, because he was there the day before. The barber tells him to stop talking so he doesn’t cut him. San asks again and 2 guys who are at the counter stand and the barber mentions that he wants to finish this quickly because there are other customers. Yo Na mentions that they are too neat for being customers. San twists the barber’s arm and wipes off shaving cream and beats up the 2 other guys with the towel. Yo Na steps on the throat of the barber and tells him that if he doesn’t talk she will kill him. San notices him looking at the phone and sees that there are multiple calls to and from Blue Moon bar.
Back at the bar, Goo Hyung is dancing with a woman and Se Ra is jealous she is determined to with Goo Hyung over. When Se Ra heads to the dance floor Gyeo Wool wonders if Goo Hyung won the lottery. Doctor Hwang tells her that it’s a war amongst women and she should go up. She tells him that in war it is best to be neutral.
While they are driving Yo Na notices that they have picked up a tail so they lure them to a secluded area. San has another fight scene and Yo Na thinks back to the time that she was running late and Young Kwang gave her a lift on his bike. She tells him that he will be a cool doctor and he tells her that he’s much prefer to be a good doctor over a cool one. She teases him if he is her doctor, and he tells her that if she’s sick he will nurse her back to health forever. There seems to be mutual attraction between them. When Yo Na was dropped off her friend Soo Yeon asked about him and she tells her that he’s the new exchange student living in their house.
When the tail receives a phone call Yo Na answers it. She tells the person on the other end that if they are following her it means that they haven’t found him yet. She also tells him to not worry about his runner because she’ll take care of him.
Back in the car Yo Na tells San that he is not the only one with a time frame, she’s worried that if she doesn’t find Young Kwang tonight that she’s scared he’ll die. They arrive at a store to find it open at 3 am which they find odd. They find the owner and San asks about Young Kwang. Yo Na notices that the wine that she’s drinking contains blood and asks her why. The owner simply hands them a business card to a bar.
Yo Na goes to freshen up her makeup and thinks back to a shopping trip she had with Soo Yeon. (Yeah there is a lot of flashbacks but we’re learning about Yo Na). They are shopping and there is a floral dress that catches Yo Na’s eye. She doesn’t have enough money for it, and isn’t sure that’ll it’ll be there in a few days. She sees Young Kwang and calls to him, and he responds. They walk home and he asks about Soo Yeon, which Yo Na takes as him being interested him her so she tells him if he’s interest he should give it a try and walks away. The next morning she’s still mad and Young Kwang tries to make it right. Soo Yeon shows up wearing the dress that she wanted to buy, because Dol Soo is bugging her to go to the river she yells at him and leaves. Young Kwang finds her out back and asks her why she’s so angry. She admits she doesn’t know, but Soo Yeon showed up wearing the dress she wanted and she didn’t like the he was staring. Young Kwang suddenly understands so he scotches over and kisses Yo Na
Gyeo Wool is worried about San since they haven’t seen him since earlier, however Se Ra and Goo Hung only want to dance. She tries calling him again, still no answer. Gyeo Wool goes to the bathroom to wash her hands and she sees someone washing blood off her hands. Gyeo Wool gets a really bad feeling and tells them that they should leave. This falls on deaf ears however because Se Ra and Goo Hyung still want to dance and they drag Doctor Hwang on the dance floor as well. When Gyeo Wool goes to leave, she’s threatened by the staff that it would be best if she stays until San returns.
Yo Na and San goes to the bar and Yo Na asks the bartender if he knows Young Kwang. He tells her that he’s not there and San mentions that she asked if he knew him, not if he was there. He offers a deal that he will tell them the information they need if they look for someone for him. Yo Na tells him when they have more time and San promises that they will look for Min Tae Yeon after they find Young Kwang.
One last memory! Yo Na and her family were waiting for Young Kwang to celebrate her birthday. They think that they hear him. However when Young Kwang does arrive he finds everyone dead, and Yo Na is just barely holding on. However instead of healing, she turns into a vampire. He takes her to the hospital and finds her feeding on another patient, and he realises that he needs to find a solution.
Young Kwang starts killing people and harvesting blood for her. At first it really bothers him but then it just becomes routine. One day he arrives home to find Yo Na missing, and when he goes searching for her, he finds her feeding on a man. He tells her off for leaving the apartment and she tells him that it’s been 10 years, how much longer does she have to hide. He kills the man and tells her he refuses to let blood stain her hands. He starts working for an organization that distributes blood. One day Young Kwang refuses Yo Na’s advances because he’s become a monster because of her, and she mentions that no one ever asked for him to become a monster. He tells her that it was a sacrifice that he made for her. Yo Na reminds him that a human’s sacrifice ends in death and he admits that nothing lasts forever.
Yo Na meets up with a much older Young Kwang, and hugs him. She tells him that they have to leave. Soo Yeon comes out and is in shock for seeing her friend for the first time in years and she hasn’t aged. Yo Na puts two and two together and asks Young Kwang to choose between her and Soo Yeon. Young Kwang confesses that he has always wanted to be her sun, however he is too old and too tired to be any good to her. Yo Na tells San to kill Soo Yeon but he tells her to think about it.
Yo Na reacts and bits Soo Yeon’s neck and tells Young Kwang that it’s over and he should come with her. He tells her that he shouldn’t have helped her stay alive, and she should have died. He tells her that he needs to stop the evil he helped create. He turns on UV lamps which burn Yo Na however San takes off his jacket and covers her until the lights turn off.
San sees Tae Woo and runs after him. By the time he gets to the alley he is already driving away in the car and he has hurt again. He screams in agony before running back to Yo Na.
Back at the club, there is a countdown until 6am. What will happen to his friend? We’ll find out next week.
