Another short drama! This one I heard so buzz around, but mainly because EXO’s very own Kai plays as the main character. I have only seen him act in EXO Next door, so I was willing to see what he could do with an actual leading role. Now this drama is only 6 episodes long with them running between 10 – 15 minutes a piece so it’s really easy to watch in one sitting.
Choco bank follows Kim Eun Haeng (Kai / Kim Jong In) a man who was brought up to be good with money, however he can not get himself a job that his mother wants. One day he bumps into the owner of Choco bank Ha Choco (Park Eun Bin), and due to some circumstances he is forced into working at her shop.
Choco finds out that Eun Haeng is actually really good with money and financial planning that she begs to become her partner. At first Eun Haeng refuses because his mother wouldn’t approve, however he starts to like the idea and agrees.
Kai does a good job with his acting in this drama, and his good looks don’t hurt. You can feel the chemistry between Kai and Park Eun Bin which is nice. Though it is short it’s a fun watch if you like chick flicks.
This is a really short drama that is best described as a fanfiction put to live action series. All of the EXO members show up during the series but it surrounds primarily Chanyeol (Park Chanyeol), D.O. (Do Kyungsoo), Bekhyun (Byun Baekhyun) and Sehun (Oh Sehun). There are 16 episodes and they all run about 15 minutes each, so if you have 4 hrs on your hands you can finish this series in one sitting.
The back story that was given was, Chanyeol breaks a necklace that was given to him by his grandfather. He later finds out that his grandfather had past away. The necklace was his good luck charm, and he really believed that. When everything starts going bad, he starts having writers block and one of his fellow band mates gets hurt, Chanyeol is determined to find that matching necklace to regain his luck. He decides to move into his grandfather’s old house, in search of the necklace. Ji Yeon-hee (Moon Ga-young) lives across the street from them, and is hired as their maid. She was really close to Chanyeol’s grandfather and knows something that Chanyeol doesn’t.
It’s a really cutesy drama series and it’s a good watch is you have some time to kill. Some of the scene are just over the top dramatic and over acted on purpose, however it add to it’s appeal. If you’re an EXO fan… You probably already watched it, but might as well watch it again.
