Summer is almost over and Sonja decides to throw a fun party for the kids who come to Friday night game night. She is going to host an introduction to witches and wizards role play game. However, when a ghost comes and steals Cassie’s die, Sonja is certain that there is more than meets the eye to a recent murder.

This was a really fun book, I think it might have been my geeky side showing. I really really like board games and role-playing games, so seeing them incorporated into the book was really fun. It was also really nice to see Cassie again after the last little while. What I enjoyed about this book so much is the deeper understanding that we get about Cassie in this book.

I also really enjoyed the phantom in this book was really interesting and fun. Having seemingly walked out of the witches and wizards game, she matched perfectly with the feel is the book. Given three characteristics of the phantom, she really came in handy in this book.

For once, I would say that a sudden storm works very well with the progression in this book. most of the time, stories insert a storm to add suspense when introducing the spirits, however, this storm really added to the story and the plot.

Overall, i enjoyed this book, and it feels like it’s building up to something.
