The Ghost

When a decaying corpse is found in the woods, the police are pulled in. However, things get worse when they start finding multiple women’s corpses with the same injuries. The police quickly figure out that there is a serial killer on the loose. Now they are one a time crunch to figure out who is killing the women so the public doesn’t become even more paralyzed with fear for their young women.

I really wanted to love this book. Just reading the synopsis had me intrigued by the story. The concept was so interesting, however, the writing was lacking. I felt like the book slacked on dialogue and insight on police procedures to fit in more death. I loved how we got to see from the murders point of view as that gave some depth to the murders. I always enjoy when books incorporate this point of view.

I feel like the character development fell flat for me in this book. I felt like Murphy was going to be a more dynamic character in this book, however, past linking her to Carlucci there wasn’t more information about her. I actually feel like Carlucci was the most fleshed out character but that is only because people mention his book and ask about his relationship with Murphy.

I feel like this book was just too short for the character that they were trying to tell. The story was interesting and the concept was solid, however, if it had of been expanded to incorporate more of the police procedural and less of the cops just running around it would have been more interesting. The author proves his proficiency by in his writing style, at times it’s perfectly balanced and the description is exactly what a police procedural needs. This book has a solids foundation, just a subpar execution.

I received a copy of this book from the author via Voracious Readers Only, however, it’s also on Kindle Unlimited.

Darcy Sweet Mysteries # 1 – 5

In a small town, Darcy lives a simple life running her bookstore, Sweet Read, and trying to be as normal as possible. However, when you are connected to the other side with a sixth sense it’s hard to be normal. When her next door neighbour is murdered, her sister’s new partner, who is new to town, zones in on Darcy. She can’t exactly tell him that her six sense told her something was wrong next door, so she must live with his scrutiny while trying to find out what happened to her friend Anne.

I’m so happy I found this book. I have been looking for a good cozy mystery series. Right away, we get a feel for the town and get to know more about Darcy. The town and its residents are well developed through this book and allowed the reader to connect.

The entire situation between Darcy and Jon was a little weird, but that was forgiven as it’s a cozy mystery. We do have the mandatory ex, but he was taken care of relatively quickly.

The mystery was interesting and watching Darcey figure it out was amusing. The added touch of her 6th sense was interesting and well utilized throughout the book. This brings together 2 of the genres that I like, urban fantasy and mystery. This book doesn’t lean too heavily on her powers, however, they are an interesting bonus in this series.

I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Everything is calm in Misty Creek, that is until Darcy has a vision about something that happened in Jon’s past. As she is just getting to know him, she doesn’t know how to broach the subject. Together they work to find out who has killed his colleague, as well as solve the one case the still haunts him from his past district.

Excellent follow up to the previous book. The last book we found out about Jon’s past or a little bit about it, but thankfully they didn’t leave us in the dark. We find out a lot more about the murder charge and everything surrounding it.

Jon and Darcy have really grown as characters as well as a couple. Jon’s past feels more like part of him than just something quickly thrown together for the precious book. We get to meet two of his college friends which added more depth. Darcy’s gifts were utilized much more in this book which gives us a better idea of what she can do.

The mystery was a fun delve into Jon’s past, and without anyone dying in Misty Creek we got to have an excellent murder mystery. I did feel like Darcy should have maybe spoken with Jon after the vision but that might be a little outside of her comfort zone right now.

I am really enjoying the series so far, I hope it keeps its momentum.

When Sue brings her friend to see Darcy, she is shocked to find that they are looking for some more information about her deceased mother. After years of unanswered questions, she’s come to the one person in town who has a reputation for knowing things that she shouldn’t about people. Darcy agrees because she can’t say no to a friend. While looking into the fire that took place years prior, she finds out not all is as it may seem.

I’m really enjoying the books where there is a mystery to solve but no one in the town dies. Jon and Darcy look into the death of a woman that happened many years prior. Due to the mystery, we get to delve into the history of the town. We get to learn so much that it makes the town feel much richer than previously. We get to also expand the character base in the story adding more layers into the town. Misty Creek feels like a city that you could just visit.

Jon and Darcy also work closely together throughout the book which allows them to grow as a couple. With the introduction of Darcy’s mother, we get to see how the family dynamic is between them. They work together very well, however, I feel like Jon still doesn’t really believe Darcy throughout this book.

I really love how everything in this book builds onto the previous books so well. This was a very interesting book.

When a vengeful ghost comes to visit Darcy, she is pulled into a new mystery. Now Darcy and Jon must look into a murder that happened years before on Christmas. But not only that, but Jon and Darcy have to face the real reason their relationship is in a stall, her powers.

Well, this was a really fun book. We get to see why Darcy is so reluctant to let Jon move in with her and it has everything to do with her powers. Jon is reluctant to accept her powers like so many people would be in this world. We get to see them work it out throughout the book and they even have a fight that makes them seem like a relatable couple.

The mystery, once again, was a cold case that was brought to Darcy by her visions. Similar to the last books, there were no murders in the present day, and they were looking into something that happened years back. This makes a lot more sense for a small town, as in other series there is a murder nearly every other week which doesn’t make a lot of sense in the real world. However, like most people know that even small towns have their skeletons and Darcy is cleaning out the closet.

We got to see an expansion in the town this books, thanks to the Christmas pageant and looking into the past once again. Also, we get to see more of Grace in this book and her thoughts on Jon and Darcy’s relationship. This gives a different perspective on the couple and their fight.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book.

With Valentine’s Day on the way, the town of Misty Creek has love on the mind. However, while Aaron was out he goes missing. Now Darcy must help Grace find her husband as well as keeping her calm throughout the ordeal. Jon must take the lead while both Grace and Darcy are relatively out of commision.

Just when I thought that there wasn’t another take of no murder in a cozy mystery book, Emrick succeeded. We got to see Grace in the forefront of the book with Jon and Darcy this book which was lovely. With Aaron missing, Grace is beside herself throughout the book. As this is right before Valentine’s Day there is also a heavy emphasis on love throughout the book. I really enjoyed how closely Jon and Darcy worked this case even though Darcy used her powers very little this book.

The characters grow closer in this book, and it was nice to see. We also got to explore a new town in the universe which was nice. Just seeing Jon and Darcy come closer and think about the next step that might happen in their lives.

I really enjoyed this book.

Oh My Ghostess

I’ll be honest, this show never really interested into watching it, but my best friend (Natalia from Soju Nights) kept telling me to watch it. So I did and I was underwhelmed.

The story follows Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young), a promising up-and-coming chef, who has a huge crush on her boss, Kang Sun Woo (Cho Jung Seok).  She works as a very timid assistant chef at the restaurant until one day she is possessed by Shin Seon Ae (Kim Seul Gi), a virgin ghost who is hell-bent on resolving her virgin grudge. She makes a deal with Bong Sun and tells her that she’ll get her closer to Chef is she can use her body to seduce him.

I will say that I couldn’t connect to the femal leads. I did, however, love the fact that I got to see Lim Ju Hwan in a different type of role. I got to know him in Uncontrollably Fond where I feel like most of the time he looked like someone just kicked his puppy, until the very end.

Over all, I didn’t really feel the cemistry. Cho Jung Seok and Lim Ju Hwan acting was superb, but I wish I liked the femal leads more. I will like to Natalia’s review to give you a more positive view. I feel like it could be someone’s favorite show, but it just wasn’t for me.

She asks if they hadn’t been doing it behind her back. She admits that she had a bad feeling since the beginning and it was only natural that a parent worries. He says he understands and walks out of the house solemnly. Hyun Ji asks if she’s serious. She admits that she’s in college and can do as she pleases but Bong Pal doesn’t seem like a bad guy. Hyun Ji kisses her mother’s cheek and Bong Pal does a little happy dance before leaving.

Hye Sung’s mother visits him in prison with food. He asks the guard for something and hands her a box. He tells her that he made it for her when he had time to craft. She refuses and then reminds him to go to class. When he heads out she calls him oppa.

He goes off about the flavour and Hyun Ji agrees. He tries to get her to join the Let’s eat club that is essentially a cooking club. Chun Sang chimes in and the guy stands at attention. He sends him away. Chung Sang asks if she has time after class because he has something to tell her.

Hyun Ji has to then sit through the presentation. Bong Pal comes in partway and she mentions that Chun Sang isn’t a student but a scam artist. Bong Pal drags her away and the duo follows. Hyun Ji tells them that she’s not going to join a club. Chun Sang can’t believe this and In Rang tells them that they borrowed so much money that his grandmother will break Chun Sang’s legs and arms. Bong Pal and Hyun Ji both admits to not needing the money. In Rang gets a call about a ghost and they ask him what he’s going to do.

Screenshot 2016-08-31 12.26.13.png

Hyun Ji tells Bong Pal that Chun Sang isn’t completely wrong. Though it’s hard to see ghosts they can help them too. Since not all ghost are bad they’re just like them filled with sadness. Bong Pal things back about all the god ghosts he has helped.

He is eating dinner with Myung Chul when he asks why he does exorcisms. He tells him that it allows him to help the ghost close their lingering attachments and the people move on. Bong Pal asks if he thinks that he could do that job. Myung Chul tells him that the only reason that he was so opposed to him doing exorcisms is because of the hatred in his eyes. If making other people happy makes him happy then he should do it. Bong Pal mentions that it’s odd when He says nice things.

They gang gets together and heads to the office building. Chun Sang tells them that it’s nice that they’re all back together. Bong Pal and Hyun Ji heads upstairs and she asks why he changed his mind. He tells her that he wants to know why they can see ghosts. They find the ghosts and charges at it.

Let’s Fight Ghost Episode 15 Recap

We get a quick rundown of the most important part of the last episode. We Rewatch Myung Chul (Kim Sang Ho)  telling Bong Pal (TaecYeon) about Hye Sung (Kwon Yool) being possessed by the same ghost who possessed him as a child. We also rewatch Hyun Ji (Kim  So Hyun) being drugged.

Myung Chul tells him about the weapon that was used on him. Bong Pal mentions that it was broken and thought Myung Chul agrees, he tells him about the second one his mother got made. Myung Chul tells him that his mother’s spirit was very strong. Some people would have taken it as a gift, but not his mother. She was pregnant with him at the time and was determined to raise him as a normal person. Myung Chul tells him that due to her rejection the goods were mad at her rejection and that was when the misfortune  started happening. Bong Pal gets told about how his father was being chased but the evil spirit and had asked Hyun Ji to deliver the weapon to him. She got into the accident while heading to him. Bong Pal takes away from it that it’s his fault and Myung Chul tries to tell him that it’s not. Bong Pal heads out to see Hyun Ji.

He tries her phone but Hye Sung closes it off. When Bong Pal can’t reach her he starts to run.

Hye Sung goes over to Hyun Ji after she’s collapsed to the floor. He leans her up against the wall and asks if she’s ok. He places his hand near her face allowing her to hear the ticking of the watch. This triggers her memories and they all come flooding back to her. Hye Sung tells her that it’s best to bury bad memories and Hyun Ji passes out.

Bong Pal goes to see Hyun Ji’s house. Her mother comes out and tells him that Hyun Ji hasn’t returned. She asks if anything is wrong and he tells her that it is and then runs off.

Chung Sang (Kang Ki Young) and In Rang (David Lee) are staking out the vet clinic. Chung Sang chastises In Rang for not being quick on the uptake. While Chung Sang is telling him why they are doing a favour for the monk In Rang notices Hye Sung coming out. He waws distracted so he didn’t see what he loaded in the back. Sung Sang decides to follow him.

Bong Pal arrives at the clinic after everyone is gone. Since the door is closed he throws a rock at it until it shatters. He goes in and begins to look for Hyun Ji. He looks everywhere and can’t find a single sign of her, but as he’s about to leave, he sees her necklace lying on the ground. He slides to the ground and starts to worry a lot.

Hye Sung is driving and glanced over at the unconscious Hyun Ji in the back seat. Apparently oblivious to the beaten up white van following close behind.

Bong Pal is staying outside when The detectives are talking about everything. They tell Bong Pal that they are going to start a search and rescue. Hyung Chul shows up and asks him what’s going on . Bong Pal tells him about Hyun Ji.

Hyun Ji’s mother is informed about Hyun Ji’s disappearance. The older detective asks if who’s going to Hye Sung’s mother’s house and he’s informed that the local police are.

The duo follows Hye Sung to a parking garage. They both agree that he looks suspicious as he’s changing cars in the middle of the night. In Rang mentions that he’s pulling something out of the car. In Rang notices it’s Hyun Ji and Chung Sang covers his mouth and drops them to the ground. Hye Sung hears them and starts making his way over to them when a guard comes. He heads back to the car and the guard tells him that he should move his car. The guard gets suspicious after Hye Sung covers the back seat window. When He heads to get in the guard sees Hyun Ji lying there. Hye Sung tells the guard he should have just left and he kills him. He throws the man right next to In Rang and Chun Sang. Hye Sung gets back in the car and drives off. Chun Sang and In Rang try to follow up the car is dead.

Screenshot 2016-08-30 12.06.35.png

Myung Chul is trying to comfort Bong Pal. He tells him that Hye Sung can’t hurt Hyun Ji until he has the weapon. Bong Pal asks why he’s so obsessed with the weapon and Myung Chul tells him that with the weapon gone he can fully possess Bong Pal since he inherited his mother’s powers. Bong Pal gets a phone call from In Rang and he gets their location.

They arrive in full force and the detectives discover that it’s a perfect place for a getaway since the camera was down. Myung Chul tries to get Bong Pal to go home, but Bong Pal can’t sit around idol because this happened because of him. Myung Chul reminds him that it’s him that the spirit is after. In Rang and Chun Sang tells Myung Chul to not worry because they’ll stay at Bong Pal’s side.

The detectives found several CCTV cameras that have caught a glimpse of Hye Sung on them.and they should know in a little while about the destination. One of the detectives asks Myung Chul to wait for them in the waiting area. When Hye Sung’s mother comes in Myung Chul gets told who she is.

Bong Pal asks In Rang if Hye Sung turned right. He says that it’s correct. Bong Pal tells them that he thinks he went to Seoul, because she got in the accident while trying to give him something, so he just came to the middle of nowhere to throw them off. Chung Sang gets the car working again. They try to decide if they should go to Seoul or not. Bong Pal mentions that the cops believe that this was planned. In Rang is certain he must have already cased the area. In Rang gets and Idea  and runs to the car.

In Rang pulls the SD from Hye Sung car and tries to pull data from it. He gets 3 address and Chun Sang can’t believe him. They call Bong Pal over and show him . Given the information, he tells the other two that they should head there.

Screenshot 2016-08-30 12.37.12.png

Hye Sung is sitting outside the warehouse and creepily looks over this shoulder.

Hye Sung’s mother apologises for not being of more help. The detective offers to drive her back but she tells him she’ll make it on her own. Myung Chul follows her out and asks to talk.

Myung Chul asks her when it started, and she tells him that he became that way because of her. We see a scene from his past where he and his mother was beaten by his father. The spirit gives him a way to help.  He goes back inside and finds his mum beaten and his father standing on the balcony. Hye Sung pushes him off. She blames herself for not taking better care of him. She tried to move without him and then after that he moved into his middle school dorms.

Hye Sung is looking out the window while he waits for Hyun Ji to wake up. He makes his way to the chair and sits. Hyun Ji has a dream about the locker she rented that day, the bracelet was in the locker. She wakes up and is frighten and disorientated. She asks him why he’s doing this. He tells her that if she has her memory back she should know. He tells her not to blame him but the man who gave her the item and his son. He asks if she’s scared of him. She tells him she’s not. He tells her that it’s good because the only thing worse than feeling scared is someone else finding out that you’re scared. The ghost flashes across his face. He asks if she remembers where the item is and when she doesn’t answer he holds a phone up to her ear and her mother’s voice rings out. He tells her that she better remember or else all of her loved ones will die one by one.

Screenshot 2016-08-30 13.15.24.png

The gang pulls up to the warehouse. Hye Sung hears them. Hyun Ji tries to call out but Hye Sung slaps her. She grabs the phone and texts a message before being pulled out of the room. Bong Pall goes up the stairs and calls to her. However, they are already gone. He finds the phone with the message of Myungsung University simply written. The police pull in right after he pulls out.

Myung Chul goes to see the priestess and tells her what happens. He gets his sword back and thanks her for the hard work. He tells her that he will go finish what he doesn’t 18 years ago. She warns him that he will not be about to walk if he does that and could die. He tells her that he hopes she marries again and leave.

Hye Sung tells her that she better not do anything stupid if she cares about her mother. He undoes her cuffs. He leads her into the subway system. The Gang pulls up right after they go in.

Myung Chul meets up with the group and asks if Hye Sung is there. He confirms that he is and though Myung Chul tries to go in himself, Bong Pal tells him that he’s going to be the one to put the end to it. Myung Chul tells the duo to stay there but they follow them in.

Hye Sung and Hyun Ji are in the subway when the attendant tries to stop them. Hye Ji snaps his neck and casts him aside before continuing on.

Bong Pal notices the attended and Myung Chul check. though he’s dead, Myung Chul tells them it hasn’t been for long. Bong Pal heads into the subway with the gang following. They hear Bong Pal’s calls and Hye Sung pushes Hyun Ji forward. They arrive a desiccate platform and she walks to the locker.

They can’t find her and Bong Pal is certain they ‘re there. In Rang tells them that 5 years prior there was a fire so they built a different station. He thinks the old station is close to exit 2. Bong Pal takes off like a shot.

Bong Pal (TaecYeon) meets Hyun Ji (Kim So Hyun) at the park. She reveals to Bong Pal that she can see ghosts and he promises to protect her.

They stop at a convenience store to get her some slippers. She finally asked him what it was like the first time he saw a ghost. He admits that he had been frozen in terror and couldn’t think, but then one day he stopped being afraid. We get a little flashback of Bong Pal playing ball and then getting scared by a female ghost. Myung Chul (Kim Sang Ho) comes to see him and reminds him that he needs to be brave and he’ll always have his back. Back in the present, Bong Pal tells Hyun Ji that there is nothing to be scared of because he will be right beside her. He tells her to come along. He offers her his hand and she takes it before they head back to her house.

She calls him and makes sure he has arrived home. He assures her that he has but really he’s outside. He tells her to go to sleep but she can’t so he starts singing to her. She smiles while listening. Eventually, she falls asleep and Bong Pal hangs up the phone wishing her to sleep well. When her mother comes home she tucks her in properly.

Bong Pal arrives home to find Myung Chul still awake. Myung Chil asks if something happened and Bong Pal tells him that Hyun Ji can see ghosts. He asks if there is a way to fix it because she doesn’t want t live the way he does. Myung Chul tells him that she was in a coma for 5 years and it’s normal to see things when her memories come back. Myung Chul tells him that it may be temporary and not to worry. Which, obviously, doesn’t stop him from worrying about his girlfriend.

Hyun Ji wakes up the next morning with Bong Pal asking her if she slept well. They exchange a few texts agreeing to meet in the afternoon after her appointment with Hye Sung (Kwon Yool). When Bong Pal sends her a text telling her that he misses her, she’s happy and only realises how late it is when her mother calls her to wake up.

A hunter is out with this dog but is having no luck catching fowls. His dog breaks free and when he tries to stop it from digging he notices a dehydrated hand peeking out from under a covering of dry leaves.

Hye Sung is giving Hyun Ji a little lesson on raising puppies and how as an owner that person needs to calm their anxiety. Hyun Ji relates to that and though Hye Sung believes that for her it’s not that extreme but her trauma was great. He tells her that she should come play with Happy as much as she wants at the hospital because playing with dogs can increase the production of endorphins. This will help her become emotionally stable. She agrees and suddenly gets a headache. When Hye Sung puts his hands next to her head the ticking brings back a memory of the accident. She tells him and he reminds her to not force herself because her memories will come back gradually. He tries to encourage her to only remember the god memories and she tells him that she’ll try to. She gets a phone cal, presumably from Bong Pal.

Hye Sung is driving her and asks how she met Bong Pal. She tells him that they were destined to be together. She tells him that it was odd how they keep bumping into each other.  Hye Sung admits liking the sound of that and then she notices Bong Pal. Hye Sung pulls over and Bong Pal opens the door. Hyun Ji thanks him for the lift and promises to see him next time.

Bong Pal brings Hyun Ji to an athletic clothing store to buy her an outfit.

Chun Sang (Kang Ki Young) tells In Rang (David Lee) that it was odd that Myung Chul asks them for such a favour. We get a small flashback of Myung Chul asking the boys to be with Bong Pal as much as possible and to call him if Hye Sung does anything odd to him. In Rang and Chun Sang come up to the mats and Chun Sang calls them love birds and asks if they need to learn from an expert. Bong Pal tells her that he’s a kinesiologist major. They do a brief introduction and then Chun Sang becomes all full of himself. He plays the part of a pervert and she kicks him in the crotch. He falls to the floor and the men go to check on him but Bong Pal is laughing.

They go out to eat and Hyun Ji apologises again. He asks why she didn’t mention that she had a black belt in Taekwondo. He adds on that it was no wonder she was good at fighting as a ghost. In Rang mentions that he hopes she gets her memories back soon. Bong Pal tells them they can’t rush it and Hyun Ji tells them that she’s sure they will return. Chun Sang tells her that he doesn’t care about the accident but he can’t believe she forgot Bong Pal. Chun Sang tells him that they need to exercise in a way that it’s natural and stimulate her mentally. They go to Karaoke and let’s just say you should watch the scene because it’s so funny.

Bong Pal drops Hyun Ji at her house. Once she goes inside she finds the real estate broker leaving because they are selling the house to return to their house.

Myung Chul is walking when he gets a phone call from Officer Choi about his missing person report. He is told that he’s found but he needs to confirm his identity, which tells him that Bong Pal’s father is dead.

Myung Chul goes to see the body and confirms the identity of Ji Hoon and asks the body what Bong Pal and he are supposed to do now. he gets brought to the lobby and the officer asks what he thought about taking the body to Seoul because the doctor said his neck was snapped but it doesn’t look like he died in a fall. Myung Chul asked if he was murdered and the officer tells him that it’s best to get an autopsy.

Hye Sung is at the hospital when the TV in the lobby plays the story about the body of Mr Park being found after being buried 2 months prior and being reported missing the month before.

Myung Chul goes to see Bong Pal but can’t get up the nerve to knock on his door. Bong Pal comes out and tells him to go outside because he’ll be back. Myung Chul tells him that he’s found his father and when Bong Pal doesn’t react he tells him that he should go see him. Bong Pal tells him to see him himself. Myung Chul yells at him to come with him.

They go and Bong Pal asks Myung Chul way his father is laying on an autopsy table. When the attendant goes to cover up the face again Bong Pal stops him and asks Myung Chul again the same question.

The officer is told of the body arriving that was killed in the same manner as Hyun Joon. The doctor tells them that his next must have been broken after a large fight because he was bruised all over. The officers ask when the autopsy will be performed and the corner tells them as soon as they have consent.

Myung Chul hands Bong Pal the consent form. He tells him that the police find his father’s death suspicious and want to perform an autopsy. He warns him to think carefully before signing his name and Myung Chul leaves him alone for a bit. Bong Pal signs his name but is in a daze and doesn’t know hears his phone ringing when Hyun Ji calls.

The next day Hyun JI is still trying to get through to Bong Pal with no success. She sends him a warning text.

Bong Pal receives the text while he’s at the ceremony fro his father’s death. He proceeds with the ceremony with only Myung Chul has the witness.

Hyun Ji goes to Bong Pal’s house and finds him not home so she begins to worry. She gets a call from Hye Sung about her appointment.

Myung Chul notices the missed phone calls and opens the phone.

Hyun Ji is in the car with Hye Sung but is spacing out when he talks to her. She gets a phone call from Bong Pal’s phone and he tells her what happened. She automatically worries about Bong Pal and tells him that she’ll be there.

Hyung Ji arrives and she comes in at find Bong Pal sitting against the wall. She asks why he didn’t call her and he apologises for being busy. He’s told h needs to go somewhere and she tells him that she’ll be right back. Myung Chul thanks her for coming and when Hyun Ji seeing the picture of Bong Pal’s father she remembers him. She tells Myung Chul that she met him at a temple and was told to bring something to his son without showing it to anyone. When Myung Chul asks if she saw what was inside, she only remembers the note.  Myung Chul tells her that it’s ok that she can’t remember and tells her to rest. He ushers her to the resting room and tells her to tell him if she remembers.

When he comes out he finds Hye Sung paying his respects. When Hye Sung leaves Myung Chul follows him out. Myung Chul pushes him against the car and asks what he’s going there. Hye Sung tries to play innocent but Myung Chul tells him that he can sense the same spirit that he forced out of Bong Pal in him. The spirit accuses him of causing the deaths because they forced him out of Bong Pal. When Myung Chul tells him to get out he tells him he can’t because Hye Sung will die. He saved the boy from hell.

We see a flashback from the boy’s past where he was being beaten up by his peers and them calling his mother a murderer. After they are gone he cries that his mother isn’t a murderer. The spirit took over the body.

Back to the present, Hye Sung laughs at Myung Chul when he tries to threaten him. He asks what he’s doing and then picks Myung Chul up by the neck. He tells him that this is how you threaten someone. He throws him down on the car and tells him that if he doesn’t keep his mouth shut Bong Pal will be next. He tells him that for this time he’ll spare him but next time he will snap his neck. Right after Hye Sung drives off, Bong Pal finds Myung Chul and asks what happens. Myung Chul tries t brush it off but Bong Pal can’t help but noticed the destroyed car.

The Police get the autopsy report and are told that there was a DNA sample under Mr Park’s fingernails. It was a male with a B blood type which matches Hye Sung’s. They have to pull the DNA request for the professor.

They move Bong Pal’s father’s memorial picture to be with his mother. Hyun Ji looks on sadly at the proceedings. Once finished Myung Chul tells Bong Pal to stay home and centre himself. He assures Myung Chul that he will be fine. Bong Pal leaves. Myung Chul tells Hyun Ji she did good at the funeral and asks how she knows Hye Sung. She tells him that he’s helping her with her psychotherapy. He asks her to take care of Bong Pal and she agrees, then trails off after him.

Hyun Ji and Bong Pal are walking home when she calls to him. Bong Pal tells her that he’s ok. She offers to get him something to eat but he tells her that he’s tired and really just wants to sleep. He tells her that he’ll call her later and they part ways.

Myung Chul goes to see the priestess and tells her about Hyun Ji’s memories. She asks if Hyun Ji knows who hit her with a car, and he admits that he hasn’t told her because Hye Sung is around her. She asks if Bong Pal knows but Myung Chul isn’t sure he should tell him. The priestess is confused as to why the spirit isn’t going after the weapon rather than running away. Myung Chul reminds her that the weapon could take his life so it concerns him. She wonders if he’s after Bong Pal. Myung Chul doesn’t answer but asks to leave his sword with her.

Hyun Ji comes hem to find that the house was sold. She asks her mother if she can stay with her uncle. Her mother asks if it’s because of Bong Pal, she doesn’t say anything but her mother knows it’s correct. He mother doesn’t want they to break up but she should study for her GED and go to college. She assures her that she can see him after she gets into college. Hyun Ji gets up and tells her mother that she’s going out.

Hyun Ji runs to Bong Pal’s house. She knocks but he doesn’t answer the door. She tells him that she’s moving back to her father’s the following day. She promises to return and to call him. She tells him that he has to answer. Bong Pal sits at his coffee table crying and Hyun Ji is crying in the hall. Hyun Ji, finally, walks away.

While walking home Hye Sung spots Hyun Ji in front of his clinic. He calls to her and asks if she’s ok because she doesn’t look good. She doesn’t give him a straight answer and he invites her in for tea.

He tells him that there is a possibility. They finish and Bong Pal shows him to the door. As soon as the police officer is gone he calls Myung Chul.

He meets with Myung Chul and asks if he knew. He elaborates and tells him that the detectives believe Hye Sung has something to do with his father’s death. Myung Chul tells him that Hye Sung is not human and that the evil spirit that came out of him years ago is in Hye Sung. He’s been hanging around Hyun Ji because he’s after her.

Hyun Ji is having tea with the professor and tells him that she’s feeling dizzy. She gets up to go to the bathroom, however, it looks like the professor might have spiked her tea.
