Briggs is back and¬†I was waiting for this book with baited breath since I finished the last book of her series. I listened to this as an audio book because I love Lorelei King as you all know. As the book is written in both Mercy’s and Adam’s voice, Lorelei King is joined by George Newbern. He does an excellent job mimicking the voices that Lorelei has already given to the characters. However, it is slightly different so the first chapter listening to Newbern is a little odd but once you’re used to it you’re good.

After being attacked and abducted, not a few miles away from her home. Mercy finds herself in the presence of the most powerful¬†vampire master in the world and Marsilia’s ex-lover. Since he doesn’t know her secret, Mercy manages to escape in her coyote form only to find herself in the heart of Europe. ¬†Her ability to think on her feet keeps her alive long enough to come in contact with the an ancient spirit of the Jewish quarter of Prague. Things are only going to get harder for our little coyote.

This¬†series keeps getting better and better. My biggest fear in any series is when the main character gets married to their love interest. This series took that milestone and continued in stride. This book proves that¬†even supernatural beings’past come back to haunt them. This book is an amalgam of Marsilia’s past, as well as Coyote’s. It also stems from the declaration of the safe zone of the tri-cities. I loved this book and the¬†continuous world building that is going on.

So after barely surviving a volcano God’s wrath while protecting Christy, Mercy’s life was starting to get back to normal. Well as normal as it can be being a coyote shifter and mate to the local Alpha werewolf. Unfortunately, the Fae, who are still on the verge of war with humans when a troll¬†attacks the city to get back a human boy that underhill had taken centuries prior. Mercy must make a decision on how to keep their cities safe and Adam has to decide how he’s going to¬†get the pack to treat Mercy with the respect she deserves.

So Mercy is even more of a powerhouse in this book than the last, though let’s be honest, it’s hard not to be¬†powerful when you’ve been brought up by the Marrok and Adam has your back. After, essentially, declaring¬†the tri-cities the pack’s¬†territory and the¬†promise of protection of the citizens from the preternatural, she had to deal with the fallout. Now, throughout these books, Adam has always given Mercy breathing room because he was terrified of her leaving. Though, in this book he finally steps in and it’s magical. Briggs managed a very tough balancing act with this book. She’s still left Mercy the powerful woman she is and even though Adam starts protecting her, it doesn’t take away from that. We also get to learn more about the Fae and underhill thanks to Adien,¬†but we also¬†learn more about Jessy. I feel like Jessy should get a bit more presence in these books but I understand why she doesn’t. Overall, it’s a great read like every other book and really enjoyable. It was a perfect addition to the series.

This is the last book of the series that is currently out and I’m sad, but you guys get to have a different book series to take this series place. The next book is slated to come out March 7th 2017 and I will be waiting with bated breath.

What’s an Alpha female to do when her mate’s ex-wife is in life-threatening danger from a guy she’s recently slept with? Why, invite her into her home and offer her protection, of course. Against her better judgment Mercy agrees to have Christy stay with them and while Adam is tracking down the psycho ex, Mercy must navigate Christy’s power play on her own turf.

So we get to meet the infamous Christy in this book, past 3rd hand interactions. The character is written as a master manipulator, however, what we’ve learnt from previous books is that Mercy has an awful bite of her own.¬†We get to learn more about Coyote as well as walkers as well in this book which flashes out¬†the lore even more.¬†I loved this book for not only all the above but for also having Tad, one of my favourite 1/2 faes. This is a strong continuation og the book series.

How can shopping on black Friday with her step-daughter turn into a search for the entire Columbia basin pack? Quite easily, a group of mercenaries has abducted the entire pack.¬†All that Mercy can tell¬†through her mate bond with Adam is that he’s in pain and furious. The clock begins to countdown for Mercy to find the pack and save them before God knows what else happens to the pack. While, also keeping her step-daughter, and friends safe.

Ok… I still love the series, and I love about 3/4 if this book. However, the ending irks me. It kinda comes out of left field with no prep¬†or seeming relevance. Be warned that they ending might not be what you think. Other than that, if they ending out have been different this would have been another awesome book. We get to see how the pack bond and mate bond works for Mercy, as well as what powers ¬†she inherited from her father.

Other than the ending I liked this book.

I feel like I keep repeating myself, I still loving this series.

So Mercy has been one busy bee. She’s dealt with werewolves, faes and vampires over that last few month and during that time, she’s gotten closer to the local pack’s alpha. While she was trying to stay out of the way of the murderous vampire queen of the local seethe, she’s seemed to have forgotten to return a book. When she goes to do that, however, the fae is missing. Now people in Mercy’s life is getting threatened and she has to figure out how to stop it. Oh and did I mention that Samuel has lost control of his wolf and now Sam is running the show while suppressing Samuel. So¬†a crazy Fae is after her and while trying to survive she has to help Samuel regain control.

We get to find out more about the fae and the werewolves in this book. My only complaint is that there are no Vampires. Because I’ve started the next book, I know why Stefan was in this book but I love that quirky vampire. Briggs’ writing style is enthralling and I absolutely love it. We also get to deal with the fall out of Adam’s mate bond with her, as well as being part of the pack. Though the turmoil within the pack does clear up in this book. I’m still loving it and I’m already reading the next book in the series.

Well. Well. Well. The vampires are back and Marsilia isn’t thrilled that Mercy killed her right-hand man. So after dropping a 1/2 dead Stefan in her lap, Marsilia is now after the blood of her friends. What worse is that another powerful vampire also has Mercy in his sight. Why does it feel like Mercy simply stepped out of the frying pan and into the fire?

Mercy’s and Adam’s relationship really grows and flourishes in this book. I also enjoy seeing her grow as a walker¬†and learn more about her abilities. Mercy also finally takes her place in the pack as the Alpha’s mate.

This book series is just expanding and I can’t wait to read more. I already have Silver Borne out from the library and ready to be read.

So she’s dealt with the werewolves in the first book, and the vampires in the second book. What’s next? Why the Faes of course. Her friend and mentor, Zee, pulls her into a murder mystery where some of the Faes on the reservation are being murdered. So she puts her nose to the ground she quickly finds out who has been doing the killing. However after the suspect has been found dead, her friend is wrongly convicted. So being the strong female lead she is, she goes after the real killer.

Still loving this series and can’t get enough. This series is getting better and better. We learn about the Faes in this book our view of the world expands. We also get to have a few more hints about who Zee really is. Still a high recommendation in my books though I didn’t find it as good as the 2nd book.
